Chapter 335 Young Master, Let's Get Married (11.25)

Ren Junhe's words were truly malicious. For someone of Ren Fengliu's status to be rumored to have such thoughts, he would gain nothing good.

Lu Qingyan wasn't upset by her question; she hadn't had high expectations to begin with, so she wasn't disappointed.

She looked up and gave her nominal mother a deep look before kneeling down straight: "Your Majesty, please calm your anger. Your son would never dare to have such thoughts. You are now in the prime of your life, while your son is still in his infancy. How could I possibly be capable of shouldering such a heavy responsibility?"

“That sounds nice, but the fourth son was already married when he was still alive, while you all are still single. You say you are still young, are you perhaps blaming me, your mother, for not keeping an eye on you?” Ren Junhe glanced at the two children on the ground, deeply worried for Ren Fengyue.

She didn't care much about her eldest daughter; she was just worried about how her second son would manage to deceive everyone in the future.

Lu Qingyan remained silent for a moment before speaking softly, "In my current state, I dare not even think about marriage."

Now, are you at ease?

Lu Qingyan chuckled inwardly and steered the conversation back on track: "There are some things that I shouldn't have said, but since Mother Empress has wronged me so much, I have no choice but to speak. I know that you have always doted on my second sister and never thought of competing with her for anything. However, the position of Crown Princess was left to me by my grandmother, and I will absolutely not let anyone else take it."

"Nobody wants your things."

Ren Junhe herself felt a little guilty when she said these words, but as the emperor, she was used to not showing her emotions, so others could not tell anything.

Lu Qingyan knew her purpose and wouldn't believe her words: "Since I took this position, I've known what I would face. I've also thought about sharing the burdens of Mother Empress, but Mother Empress hasn't given me that opportunity. Besides, I am the eldest daughter and the Crown Princess. Even if I can't fulfill my duties as a subject, I can't lose the demeanor of an elder sister. Whatever my younger siblings want, I have never taken it for myself. If they want it, I will offer it to them with both hands. If I don't have it, I will find a way to get it. But I have never used any tricks or deceived them."

Lu Qingyan gave a bitter smile. She looked at Ren Junhe's slightly moved expression but did not think about making amends. She continued, "I have done everything I should have done and did not expect to get anything from them. But what have they done? It has never been my fault that I am the way I am now, but they never miss the chance to humiliate me."

"Mother, I accept everything from the past, whether it was my fault or not is no longer important. The tutor hasn't even explained everything to you yet, and you're already blaming me. Does that mean in your eyes, no matter what the mistake, it's my fault? And everyone else is supposed to be like a lotus, pure and untainted by the mud?" Lu Qingyan finished speaking and laughed loudly, the laughter growing softer until it finally turned into a sigh: "Now I kneel here, wanting to ask you again, Mother: What am I to you? Do you even consider me your daughter?!"

The last two questions were delivered in a shrill, heart-wrenching voice, each word dripping with anguish. The servants in the main hall were so terrified they wanted to hide far away, not daring to utter a sound for fear of incurring their wrath.
