"Should you write it or should I?" Xiao Xin originally planned to write it herself, as it would prove that she had personally fought against her. However, she didn't know any Taoist arts and was worried that something might go wrong if she wrote it down, so she asked Bai Tingyu.
Bai Tingyu flattened the yellow paper in her hand and shook her head: "Let me write it. There are rules for these names. If you write it wrong, we'll transfer all our luck to her."
Upon hearing this, Xiao Xin was so frightened that she tried to hide. In her view, her luck was exceptionally good; no one else could possibly be better off than her. Therefore, she cherished this more than anything else.
Xiao Xin didn't know what Bai Tingyu had done, or perhaps her abilities had simply reached this level. When Bai Tingyu picked up the pen, Xiao Xin saw a faint blue light flash in her hand. Each time the pen tip touched the ground, a thin layer of dark red mist rose up.
As Xiao Xin watched, the excitement in his eyes grew stronger. Through the thick fog, he seemed to already see Xiao Xin'er begging for mercy after her crushing defeat.
Just writing that one name seemed to drain most of Bai Tingyu's strength. In a hoarse voice, she said to Xiao Xin, "Don't come any closer, stay away from me. Take a few steps back. I feel like the strength in my hands is becoming increasingly uncontrollable."
Upon hearing this, Xiao Xin didn't even ask how Bai Tingyu was, and hurriedly ran out of the room by herself.
Once Xiao Xin had run far away, Bai Tingyu finally stopped. The cinnabar on the yellow paper had formed a mysterious pattern; no one could guess its meaning, but the name it contained was immediately recognizable.
Bai Tingyu looked at the open door and curled her lips in a sarcastic smile: "Friends? Who's your good friend? That's just something I lied to you about and you lied to me about. You see, I've never told you the truth, and now you've abandoned me."
Looking at the copied text, Bai Tingyu smiled happily: "Finally finished. Xiao Xin, we've known each other for a while, so I won't really forget you now that I've got this benefit."
She stuffed the talisman into the scarecrow's body, then pulled out two more small scarecrows from under the table, arranged the three in a triangle, and chanted incantations to them.
At this moment, Lu Qingyan was already asleep. The instant the incantation was recited, she seemed to fall into a nightmare.
"Where is this place?" Lu Qingyan felt as if she were on a strange land. There were no trees or grass, only dark rocks. There were no mountains or valleys, just a few large boulders scattered across a flat continent. She looked at the colorful specks of light around her and tentatively reached out to touch them. But the moment she touched them, the specks of light seemed to pass right through her body.
"What...what are these?" Lu Qingyan remembered that she was lying in bed asleep. She knew that she couldn't have come to this place for no reason. Someone must be up to something.
Only Bai Tingyu could have done this. It turns out that even at this point, she still made her move.
"Could this be how Bai Tingyu trapped Xiao Xin'er here back then?"
There's nothing here. If we don't know the way we got here, how can we go back?
