"Regret? Is it because she's become even worse than before?" Xi Bo denied. "Perhaps she'll suffer the consequences of her own actions later, but she absolutely cannot become a victim of that mysterious person's evil magic. I can only save her this once; after that, even I won't be able to save her."
This answer was clearly within Lu Qingyan's expectations.
Xi Bo still couldn't find out who had cursed Xiao Xin. Finally, Lu Qingyan reminded him: "I know that Xiao Xin and Bai Tingyu had a good relationship, but they haven't been in contact much since then."
I don't remember them arguing or having any conflicts, so they shouldn't have completely lost contact. Even if their feelings for each other started to fade and they stopped contacting each other, it would always be a gradual process, not as abrupt as it is now.
"You suspect Bai Tingyu? Do you know if she has shown any abnormal behavior?" Xi Bo pressed. Generally, the consequences of practicing evil arts are directly reflected on their faces, making them look more effeminate than normal people.
Lu Qingyan shook her head: "I feel like she's no different from the people around her, and she's always smiling. Everyone around her seems very friendly towards her. But when I see her smile, I always feel uncomfortable."
This statement, though seemingly a denial, subtly led Xi Bo to believe that Bai Tingyu was the murderer.
Xi Bo wasn't easily swayed. After listening to Lu Qingyan's explanation, he decided to investigate. However, in the end, Xi Bo still couldn't find any trace of Bai Tingyu.
Time flies, and five years have passed.
Lu Qingyan and Xi Bo both got into the nationally renowned University A. Guo Jia was busy collecting gossip and didn't have much knowledge of textbooks. She used her connections to get into an easy major at the local University C, planning to continue her old profession after graduation—digging up gossip.
At her new school, Lu Qingyan met an unexpected person: Su Meiren.
When they arrived at the new school, Xi Bo originally planned to take Lu Qingyan to her dormitory, but Lu Qingyan refused.
"I see you brought quite a lot of things. You should hurry up and go to your dorm to unpack. I can do these things by myself. I'll come over and have dinner with you after I'm done."
"We can eat anytime, but I'll have a lot of time without seeing you."
This knowledge is no longer of much use to either of them. Considering each other, Lu Qingyan and Xi Bo chose the same major. However, their luck seemed to be bad; they weren't assigned to the same class, and the class times for the two classes were different.
So now they have very little time together, and Xi Bo greedily wants to stay by Lu Qingyan's side a little longer.
"Alright, stop being so mushy." Lu Qingyan blushed and pushed Xi Bo away. "We got up early this morning to travel and didn't eat properly. It's almost afternoon now, and I'm starving even if you're not. If you don't come over now, I won't wait for you after I'm all ready."
Xi Bo curled the corners of his lips: "Alright, I'll listen to you and go over now."
As Lu Qingyan watched Xi Bo's figure recede into the distance, she pulled her suitcase through the lush green campus, when she suddenly heard a call coming from afar.
"Xiao Xin'er, Xiao Xin'er!" Su Meiren spotted Lu Qingyan from afar and ran over waving her hands. "I saw you from so far away. I never thought you could come here to study. I thought you were so attached to home that you would stay there forever."
