Fu Jingzhi frowned.

"Then I'll head back to my residence first, and won't stay here to trouble you any further." Lu Qingyan curtsied, rose, and took her leave.
Shangguan Ren waited outside. When he saw Lu Qingyan, he simply nodded and slowed down to wait for her to catch up with him.
As soon as they entered the carriage, Shangguan Ren closed his eyes. Lu Qingyan followed suit and closed her eyes as well, almost oversleeping. The carriage was still moving when Lu Qingyan was startled awake by the swaying. She rubbed her eyes and asked, "Your Highness, have we arrived?"
"Not yet." Shangguan Ren looked at his phone helplessly and said, "What did the Princess and Lord Fu talk about in the room today?"
"He told me the story of when he and my mother first met." Lu Qingyan smiled bitterly and replied, "Things have changed."
Things have changed, but people have changed. The things are still the same, but what has changed is not the people, but their hearts. Fu Jingzhi and Xiao Lishi never truly loved each other; one said nothing, and the other knew nothing.
Sitting in the carriage, the March weather was still somewhat muggy. Shangguan Ren took off the thick robe from his shoulders and smiled, "The Princess said they are 'things have changed, people are no longer the same,' so I wonder how the Princess views this marriage with me?"
How should I answer that question?
