Lu Qingyan's face darkened, and the energy gathered on the golden magic wand dimmed: "Bai Su, you'd better watch your words. If you continue to be so impolite, you can deal with those people yourself."
Lu Qingyan was just trying to scare Bai Su. After all, Bai Su was the male lead and someone the mission required her to take care of. Could she really just abandon him? Lu Qingyan glanced down at the four people. Of the four, only the woman's magic wand was the most intensely purple. If it were just the three men dealing with Bai Su, he wouldn't be having such a hard time right now.
“Youyan, you were the one who said you wanted to be with me. Now that we’re dealing with all this trouble, can’t you just stop arguing with me about these things?” Bai Su jumped up with difficulty and landed next to Lu Qingyan.
Lu Qingyan patted his shoulder and said with a smile, "Alright, calm down. You're the second-ranked gold-level among these people, how could you possibly lose to them? I believe you have the strength."
“Of course I believe in my abilities,” Bai Su said, shifting his shoulders, the bones cracking. “But with a helper like you by my side, why should I risk getting hurt because of these few people?”
Lu Qingyan smiled and said, "Alright, let's get started then. Let me see the true power of the four of them working together."
"Youyan?" The woman, who was leading the group of four, asked Lu Qingyan uncertainly.
Lu Qingyan raised an eyebrow: "Looks like someone who knows me."
The magic wand in the woman's hand gleamed with a dark purple light, and her eyes were filled with a deep gloom: "Youyan, you're really joking. As long as there is anyone in this world, who wouldn't recognize you? The golden magic wand in your hand is the best proof of your identity."
Lu Qingyan smiled modestly: "You flatter me."
The woman waved her hand: "Youyan, get out of my way. This is a personal matter between me and Bai Su. Don't meddle here. Otherwise, I'll take care of you too."
Lu Qingyan scoffed, "You've got quite the nerve. The difference between purple and gold levels isn't like the difference between red and purple levels. Saying you'll deal with me? Are you out of your mind?"
"I must be out of my mind to have fallen for someone like him." The woman glared at Bai Su with resentment, as if a raging fire wanted to burn him to ashes.
"I just don't understand why someone like him can get the gold level, while I can only get the purple level, which is a step below him. But so what if there's a difference between us? As long as there are enough people, I can still beat him and kill him." The woman looked at Lu Qingyan and lashed out with a purple lightning bolt: "You eyesore, why did you have to come out and cause trouble?"
"Watch out!" Bai Su shouted urgently, pulling Lu Qingyan away to avoid the lightning bolt.
Lu Qingyan frowned and shook off his hand that was holding her: "Let go of me right now. It's not like I couldn't see the lightning that was so big. Even if you didn't pull me, I would have dodged it myself. Do you know that your sudden movement almost made me fall to the ground?"
"I was just trying to help you out of kindness." Bai Su turned away in disgust. "I was only doing this for your own good, why are you being so fierce? You're just being ungrateful."
