Granny Chang sighed, her strength failing her, and said, "I'm getting old and useless. I almost fell over while performing a simple bow. I've come to see the princess, but I've only caused her trouble."
"What are you saying, Granny Chang?" Lu Qingyan felt a lump in her throat. "I'm so happy that you came to see me, how could I find it troublesome?"

Granny Chang smiled, her old face etched with wrinkles: "It's good that the princess understands. This old servant can no longer stay by your side. You should always be careful not to give anyone any leverage over these small matters."
“Granny,” Lu Qingyan said, holding the rough hand that looked like old tree bark, “I have always kept in mind what you said.”
“It’s good that the princess remembers,” Granny Chang said, then coughed a few times. “This old servant came here because I heard something. This old servant heard that Young Master Shen has asked His Majesty for the princess’s hand in marriage.”
Lu Qingyan's smile froze: "So, you've heard about this, Granny?"
“Princess, please don’t be upset. I’ve heard that because I have some acquaintances in the palace who give me face, not many people know about this matter.” Granny Chang patted Lu Qingyan’s hand as she spoke, “Your Highness has been wronged in this matter.”

It's no big deal that he doesn't agree to me being with Shen Jiyan because of the Empress, the Shen family, and Lu Qingshu. Whether I hate him or resent him, it doesn't affect him at all."
Upon hearing this, Granny Chang coughed even more violently.
"Granny, what's wrong with you? I'll go and beg someone from the Imperial Hospital to come and take a look at you." Lu Qingyan said, about to leave, but was pulled back by Granny Chang.
"Princess, you are a princess, how can you use the word 'beg'!" Granny Chang's grip was extremely strong at this moment, and even Lu Qingyan couldn't break free.

“Princess!” Granny Chang touched Lu Qingyan’s face and said with great emotion, “When you were born, you were just a tiny little thing. In the blink of an eye, you’ve grown up so much and it’s time for you to get married.”
Lu Qingyan forced back her tears with a smile: "Actually, what I wanted most was for the nanny to watch me get married."
