Knowing her name, Chu Fang, and the word "prescription" sounds rather ominous; isn't this just wishing for her to get sick?
The woman's eyes reddened with anger at Lu Qingyan's few words. She glared at her and said, "What makes you say that? He just happened to run into me that day on a whim. What's wrong with that?"
Lu Qingyan scoffed, "Who is he? Who are you? Just by looking at what you're wearing, you have nothing to do with him. Don't you know that Mr. Lu's clothes are all custom-made? If you were really close to him, would you be dressed like this in such tattered clothes?"
"I..." The woman was speechless. Could she say that even the moment she saw this person and knew he wasn't the one she was looking for, she still couldn't help but have feelings for him?
The man's clothes, his appearance, and every move he made were all seductive, telling her that if she could grab onto this piece of driftwood, she could turn her life around. Unfortunately, she didn't expect that the man she had pulled over was not good with words, while the woman who suddenly appeared was quick-witted and eloquent.
“Miss,” Lu Qingyan waved her phone, “your continued obstruction of Mr. Lu constitutes harassment, so I’ve called the police. Don’t worry, no matter how wronged you’ve been, the police will help you settle things and give you justice.”
As she finished speaking, Lu Qingyan chuckled softly. She tilted her head and looked at Chu Fang from a short distance away, her bright, starry eyes revealing a mischievous and clever side that made him seem too lovable to scold.
"Don't worry, sister. You said you've been wronged. As long as you tell the whole story, the police will definitely help you. I'll make sure to see if he really did such a thing!" Lu Qingyan said firmly, seemingly standing up for the woman, but a closer listen revealed the sarcasm in her words.
The woman's eyes darted around; she didn't know if staying there was the right or wrong thing to do. Had this person really called the police?
It's true, of course.
Within ten minutes, a police car arrived and took her away. The officer also told the people around that the woman had some mental health issues, so they shouldn't take his words seriously.
After everyone had left, someone whispered among themselves, gossiping, "What do you guys think of that explosive news? Is it true or false?"
"How would I know if it's true or not?" someone said impatiently, turning their face away. "Does the big boss look like the kind of person who would be easily overpowered by a nobody? Of course not! How could someone as imposing as the big boss like that ghostly guy? Otherwise, his taste would be too extreme!"
"Sigh, maybe that's just their preference. We can't possibly guess what big shots are thinking." Someone else said sarcastically, "How would you know they don't like it if you're not them? Maybe they're even secretly doing it behind your back."
"Keep your voices down, aren't you afraid that what you're saying will reach the ears of the higher-ups?"
...
Lu Qingyan ignored the rest of his pointless chatter and walked quickly ahead of Lu Mingyuan, showing no intention of paying him any attention. After what had just happened, it would be strange for him to be all smiles now.
"Wan'er," Lu Mingyuan followed behind her, explaining repeatedly, "I don't know that woman at all. He's the one who's slandering me. You have to believe in my innocence!"
