After helping Lu Qingyan find a house, Jin Ye left.
The apartment they found wasn't big, just two bedrooms and a living room; it would be a bit cramped with just one more person. The young couple bought the apartment before it was even built, so they didn't know what it would be like once it was finished.
After seeing the finished product, they were all disappointed and didn't want it anymore, so they discussed finding an opportunity to sell the house.
House prices have fallen sharply in the past two years, much cheaper than when they bought them. So this time, they bought a three-bedroom, two-living-room apartment with full payment without much trouble.
Of course, they also had their ups and downs. Although they had bought the house over there, they hadn't sold the house here yet, and they couldn't raise the money for renovations anytime soon. When Lu Qingyan found this house, the couple didn't plan to rent it out; Lu Qingyan intended to buy it.
Unfortunately, Lu Qingyan didn't have much money, so she discussed paying in installments with them. She would pay 50,000 now, 100,000 after graduation, and the rest in three years.
Lu Qingyan said that there was absolutely no problem.
Mr. Jin, however, was not in favor of the purchase. He felt the couple had clearly overpaid, and that Lu Qingyan would be losing out by buying the house. But he couldn't persuade Lu Qingyan otherwise, so he had to give up.
Lu Qingyan thought the price was fair, considering the house was already renovated and it was exactly what she liked. She wouldn't need to spend too much time on renovations, saving her a lot of trouble. Isn't time money? The time she'd saved was something that couldn't be bought back with a little money.
With the housing issue resolved, there wasn't much money left on her card. Lu Qingyan did a quick cleaning, and the entire house looked almost brand new.
Grandma Sun was very satisfied, muttering words of thanks to the gods and Buddhas as she looked around. She was quite old, but had never lived in such a nice house before. Teacher Jin's house was nice too, but it wasn't her own.
Only this house is his own home, not Sun Fu's.
After more than a month of subtle influence, Sun's mother has made some progress; at least she no longer treats her husband as her everything, like women in ancient times.
The next day, Jin Ye left, and Lu Qingyan saw him off. At the station, before Lu Qingyan could even speak, Jin Ye interrupted, saying, "Remember to study hard at school. Put aside the part-time job for now. Don't let something like this interfere with your studies; it's not worth losing out. If you have any further problems with money, just call me, and I'll transfer you some more. Don't worry about it too much."
Lu Qingyan felt a lump in her throat. She nodded and said, "Teacher, I remember everything you said. I will study hard here and come back to see you during the holidays."
Jin Ye, used to being alone, wasn't as sentimental as Lu Qingyan. He frowned upon hearing her words and said, "If things aren't settled here, it's best not to go back. There's nothing to worry about over there. Your father is becoming increasingly unruly. Although the police warned him once, it's hard to guarantee he won't harass you again. You should be careful and it's best not to come back for a while. Your teacher will come to see you during the holidays. After all, out of all my students, you're the most outstanding." Jin Ye spoke with pride about this.
