Chapter 683 The Person Forced into Marriage 18.29

After staying up all night, even someone as healthy and energetic as Lu Qingyan was a little tired. After all, this was the first time she had ever worked so hard without eating or sleeping.

Feeling her face was a bit oily, Lu Qingyan quickly washed it and prepared to take a nap. However, she ended up sleeping until four or five in the afternoon.

When she woke up, her stomach was already rumbling, but her head was still foggy and unclear.

Lu Qingyan looked at the time displayed on her phone, her smile stiffening slightly: "I... I guess I shouldn't stay up late anymore."

She quickly tidied herself up, and while combing her hair in front of the mirror, she noticed that there were still dark circles under her eyes, which made her look even uglier against her originally fair skin.

Holding a large bowl of steaming hot vegetable and egg noodles, Lu Qingyan felt as if she had finally come back to life. After eating, Lu Qingyan checked the translated document again before sending it to Teacher Lin.

Looking at the translation that had been sent just one day later, which was fluent and well-explained, Teacher Lin couldn't help but call Lu Qingyan again, jokingly saying that it seemed that in the future, there would be no need to ask those laymen for documents on this subject; Lu Qingyan could handle it directly.

Thinking that the capable should do more, she sent over several foreign language documents, instructing Lu Qingyan not to rush this time and not to neglect her health. Lu Qingyan agreed to all of them.

And so, by the time New Year's Eve arrived, Lu Qingyan had earned more than 2,000 yuan.

If it weren't for the reminder on her phone, Lu Qingyan would have almost forgotten about visiting Teacher Jin's house for the New Year.

On New Year's Eve, Lu Qingyan didn't bring much with her. She only brought some simple gifts and some small trinkets that she had made herself when she arrived at the Jin family's house.

She knew in her heart that the Jin family was now paying for her studies. If she brought large bags of luxury goods to their house to pay New Year's greetings, it would seem too worldly and materialistic. What would they think if she spent their money to buy such expensive things to pay New Year's greetings?

But giving these simple gifts is precisely what expresses your feelings and makes people feel warmer.

A gift of a goose feather sent from afar carries profound meaning. Lu Qingyan believed that what she was giving was far more valuable than a goose feather, and contained much deeper sentiment.

She remembered that there was a little child in Teacher Jin's brother's family, so giving him these little trinkets would be perfect as toys.

Looking at these simple yet elegant villas, Lu Qingyan felt no envy whatsoever. She had lived in houses like these before, so what was there to envy?

However… looking at these identical buildings, Lu Qingyan was somewhat bewildered and realized that she couldn’t tell which way was which.

Although Teacher Jin wrote down a very detailed address for himself, he couldn't possibly carry all these things around and search for each place one by one. That would take forever.

There was no other way, so Lu Qingyan had to trouble Teacher Jin again.

The phone rang, and Jin Ye saw it was Lu Qingyan and a faint smile appeared on his lips: "Hello, have you arrived yet?"

"Yes, we've arrived," Lu Qingyan said, biting her finger.

Jin Ye looked up at the door, went over and opened it, but didn't see any familiar figures: "Why don't I see you?"

"Teacher Jin, I've arrived. But I went in through the main gate and wandered around twice, and I don't know where I am. Teacher Jin, could you come and get me?"

Jin Ye replied, "Stay there and don't move. I'll be there soon."
