Chapter 684 The Person Forced into Marriage 18.30

After hanging up the phone, Jin Ye immediately received eager looks from his entire family.

"Xiao Ye, is it your student who's coming over?" the old lady asked first.

The old lady started the conversation, and everyone else chimed in with their own comments.

"Where did that girl study again? You mentioned it, but I don't remember." This was the question asked by the busy Mr. Jin. It would be strange if he could remember.

"Isn't that girl pretty?" This was the question from my sister-in-law, who's obsessed with looks.

"Uncle, uncle, do you like that older sister or not?" This was my precocious little nephew.

"Alright, everyone move aside. I'm going out to fetch them now." Faced with their enthusiasm, Jin Ye quickly stepped aside and slipped out.

After walking through just two alleys, Jin Ye saw Lu Qingyan standing at one end.

On a pale winter day, she stood there wearing a light pink coat and a light gray scarf, looking petite and adorable.

"Teacher Jin!" Upon seeing Jin Ye appear, Lu Qingyan's eyes lit up as she waved to him and ran over with the boxes in her hands.

"Happy New Year, Teacher Jin." Lu Qingyan smiled brightly.

"Happy New Year." Jin Ye took the heavy gift box from her hand and complained, "You came all this way, why did you bring so much stuff? I don't need anything here, aren't you just wasting money?"

Lu Qingyan chuckled, "Teacher Jin, how could I come empty-handed during the New Year? Don't worry, I only brought some fruit. The heavy ones are little toys I prepared for the kids to play with. I remember you said your nephew is quite mischievous."

Speaking of his nephew, Jin Ye's face lit up with a smile: "Well, he's still young and mischievous. When he gets into a ruckus at home, no one can calm that little devil down. But since you brought him so many things this time, he'll probably behave a lot better."

The little boy's full name is Jinqi, and he loves unwrapping gifts.

Sure enough, the moment the door opened, he rushed forward and grabbed the box from Jin Ye's hands.

Of course, little Jin Qi wasn't entirely impolite. He flashed Lu Qingyan a set of uneven, white teeth and said with a smile, "Big sister, you're so pretty. Should I call you auntie or sister?"

He tilted his head and thought for a moment before saying, "Thank you for the gift, sister."

Then he dragged the box to a corner and sat down on it.

Lu Qingyan couldn't help but laugh when she saw her elfin appearance.

Sister-in-law Jin, however, was a little embarrassed: "Is this Xiao Feng'er? My child has been spoiled. Please don't mind."

Lu Qingyan shook her head: "No, I think he's fine as he is, very polite."

Compared to those unruly kids who hit others and steal things at the drop of a hat, Jinqi is simply a model well-behaved child!

"Please sit down, lunch is almost ready. Sit here and wait a while." Sister-in-law Jin invited Lu Qingyan to sit down and then turned to go to the kitchen to help.

During the Lunar New Year, all the servants in the house went home, and the Jin family did all the housework themselves.

However, Lu Qingyan was still somewhat surprised when she saw Brother Jin wearing an apron.

Is this still the same Jin family elder brother with the cold face on TV? He looks so domestic now.

The old lady was getting on in years and not in good health. After a while, she slowly came out of the room. Her eyes darted around, and finally her gaze locked onto Lu Qingyan.
