Huo Jin acted quickly; he had everything prepared the very next day, and they were ready to depart immediately.
Although it was an island, even if they got there, they might not be able to find anyone coming out, so Lu Qingyan had to go back with them.
Xiao Hong and Xiao Xiao are still very attached to Lu Qingyan, and they've been away from home for so long that they're starting to miss it. As soon as they heard that Lu Qingyan was going home to bring those people back, they both insisted on going with her.
However, Lu Qingyan refused: "There are still many things you two don't understand. You should stay here and learn properly."
Xiaoxiao pouted and turned her face away. Xiaohong looked at her pitifully, but Lu Qingyan remained unmoved.
"Listen to me!" Lu Qingyan's voice was a little stern, and only then did the two of them behave a little.
Lu Qingyan rubbed her head, feeling a headache coming on. Xiao Hong and Xiao Xiao absolutely could not come with her; they would be more likely to be exposed at sea.
The sheer amount of water the three of them drank every day already terrified some members of the Huo family.
Humans are advised to drink eight glasses of water daily, which is typically consumed in multiple small amounts. However, in most cases, the amount of water they drink falls far short of this standard. When they drink too much water, their stomachs swell up, which is quite unsightly. Yet, these three people drank that much water in just one hour, without experiencing any physical changes, which astonished everyone.
Huo Jin wasn't an ordinary person; he could find a plausible explanation for these unusual occurrences. Lu Qingyan didn't know why, but she always felt that the way he looked at her seemed to know everything.
But since he didn't ask anything, I won't bring it up.
This voyage wasn't short at all; it would take at least three days. That night, after everyone had fallen asleep, Lu Qingyan went down to the bottom.
There was a small door at the bottom of the boat. When opened, it would automatically lower itself to float on the water. Lu Qingyan squatted down, her cherry-like lips moving up and down, but no one could hear the sound.
After a while, a little whale swam up and asked, "Beautiful sister, is there anything I can help you with?"
It spoke sweetly, its voice still carrying a touch of immaturity.
"Could you please go to the merfolk and tell them that I have prepared everything, and ask them to wait on a small island for a while?" Lu Qingyan reached out and patted its round head.
The little whale jumped around happily, splashing up a lot of water: "Great! I love doing this. But I don't know which island you're talking about. What if I didn't tell them and they went to the wrong place?"
"There's no mistake. Where exactly is it? You can ask the dolphins."
The little whale said with a troubled expression, "Beautiful sister, although I would be happy to help you, I don't know which dolphin to look for. You should know that there are more than one dolphin in the sea."
Lu Qingyan patted his head and laughed, "Let me finish before you interrupt. It's about that island where a dolphin rescued a person and put him on the shore. That guy always likes to brag about his great deeds, so he'll definitely tell a lot of people about it. You'll find out everything with just a little inquiry."
Upon hearing this, the little whale said it would definitely get things done and then dived into the water.
Lu Qingyan smiled and soaked her hands and feet in the seawater, feeling the familiar temperature.
After a while, Lu Qingyan finally got up and stood up.
