Chapter 809 Falling in Love with Your Blood 22.2

The handsome young man with rosy lips and white teeth ran with long strides, and even though he was fleeing, he didn't look disheveled.

The boy suddenly stopped. Two more people had appeared in front of him, blocking his way. The men behind him caught up, their expressions menacing: "Run! You think you're so fast?"

"Brother, this little brat has really worn us out. We'll definitely have to get the employer to raise the price when we get back."

Even as these people drew closer, the boy had nowhere to escape, yet there was not a trace of despair in his eyes. Even at this point, he still refused to give up. He scoffed and asked those around him, "Who exactly sent you to chase me like dogs?"

"This little bastard, do you even know who your grandpa is? How dare he speak ill of me! Big brother, we need to teach him a lesson!" The young man who had been insulted spat.

This young man was Qiao Li. While the others were arguing, he quickly jumped into the high wall on his right and hid.

"This little rascal is slippery," the eldest of the group spat.

"Brother, what are we going to do about this? We've chased him all the way from China to overseas, and we still haven't caught him. Will we still be able to get the money the higher-ups offered?"

"Big Brother" slapped the young man on the head: "What time is it? You're still thinking about money. If this matter isn't handled properly, you'll lose your life."

"Big brother!" The younger brother's face turned pale with fright. He asked in a trembling voice, "Is that family really that ruthless?"

"Tsk, this kid is the boss's own son, and he still can't survive?"

"Brother, this guy is so ruthless, what if he goes back on his word and kills us to silence us?" The clever man's eyes darted around, and he thought of this possibility.

After thinking for a while, the "elder brother" was also shocked and broke out in a cold sweat.

After discussing it, the group extorted another sum of money from the Qiao family and divided it together with the large sum they had received previously.

On that very day, they went their separate ways and settled down in this foreign land.

The house that Qiao Li hid in wasn't empty. In the room he hid in, there was a pretty young girl.

The little girl had snow-white skin and golden hair. Ordinary people wouldn't be able to see anything in the dark, but Qiao Li could see it clearly.

"Who's there?" The little girl was quite alert. Qiao Li had been inside for a short while without making any noise, but the little girl still woke up.

"Shh! Don't shout!" Qiao Li quickly covered her mouth with his hand and explained, "Don't be afraid, I'm not a bad person. There are bad people chasing me, I just came in to hide for a while, and I'll leave once they're gone. If you agree, just nod, and I'll let go of your hand."

The little girl nodded, her body trembling.

Qiao Li removed her hand and apologized, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to threaten you."

The little girl shook her head: "It's okay, I'm glad I could help you, and I believe you're not a bad person. My name is Eileen, what's your name, brother?"

“Qiao,” Qiao Li said. No matter how much he hated the surname, he couldn’t change the blood flowing in his veins.

Eileen was quite young, around five or six years old. Friendships at this age often develop inexplicably; in her mind, exchanging names meant they were friends.

"Joe, why are those bad guys chasing you?" Eileen asked, blinking her eyes.
