Chapter 916 Apocalyptic Heroine's Guide to Leveling Up 24 20

Grandpa Pan assumed that Lu Qingyan understood his words, which meant that she was also very capable, and his smile deepened.

The army is now essentially crippled, and there's nothing left to salvage. After deliberation, the high command at the capital base decided to form small teams to go out and gather supplies and hunt zombies. Those who are too weak to fight will stay behind to handle cleaning and other tasks.

The initial squads were not formed freely, but were assigned in advance by higher authorities, and this assignment was random.

Zhang Bao came over to deliver a message to Lu Qingyan and Pan Qingbai. He said regretfully, "These are all the lists that were assigned a long time ago. I brought them to you. It's a pity we weren't assigned together. Just meet up on time according to the address and time on these lists."

After saying that, he secretly told Lu Qingyan, "Our battalion commander is really unlucky. If the world hadn't turned out like this, he would have been a regimental commander long ago. The promotion order had already been issued, but it just hadn't reached him yet. Now he has to be forced to take orders from someone who has no knowledge. It's just ridiculous."

"Zhang Bao!" Pan Qingbai dismissed him with a gloomy face.

The next day, as dawn broke, people began to arrive. The temporary gathering place was very rudimentary. Although it was nominally a vanguard force with superior strength compared to ordinary people, its location was nothing more than a large shopping mall in the capital. Fortunately, the ordinary people had been cleaning it up, so although it looked rather shabby, it was quite clean.

The goods in the mall had all been collected by the military personnel, and the shelves were neatly stacked along the walls. The mall was empty, without even a single chair.

Tsk tsk, there's not even a place to sit for a meeting, how pathetic.

Before Lu Qingyan and Pan Qingbai, there were already four young people waiting there. One of them, a man wearing a light gray down jacket and a gray scarf, leaned arrogantly against the shelf by the wall. Next to him was a girl with burgundy wavy hair, whispering something in his ear, her eyebrows furrowed with a flirtatious look.

Across from them stood a quiet, unassuming girl with her head down, making it impossible to see anything clearly. This reminded Lu Qingyan of the three girls who had come to the capital base with their group.

They are the same as they are now, rarely saying a word.

Seeing Lu Qingyan and her companion enter, the others only glanced at them quickly before turning their heads away. The remaining person, however, sat down casually on the floor, squinting and enjoying something.

"I never expected that anyone here would dare to join us?" The arrogant man said with a sinister look. "Since you've joined my team, you should abide by my rules. If there's anything good, you should be the first to share half with me. You two newbies shouldn't even think about hoarding it all."

Pan Qingbai narrowed his eyes: "This is a mission assigned to us by the higher-ups to collect supplies. Do you intend to keep all of that stuff for yourself?"

"Ha, why not? They can't find any evidence, what can they do to me?" The man smoothed his hair and said viciously, "You all know my methods. Making someone wish they were dead is too easy for me."

When these words were spoken, no one else reacted, except for the timid girl who burst into tears. She was too afraid to make a sound, her shoulders trembling as she sought someone to lean on.
