"Yes," Lu Qingyan readily admitted, "He is indeed my boyfriend."
Yang Tian winked at Lu Qingyan: "Xi Xi, when did you get a boyfriend? Let us meet him! By the way, is he as handsome as my crush?"
Yang Tian was the most fanatical fan in the dorm; her idol was a currently popular young actor. Lu Qingyan didn't remember his name, and since he wasn't as good-looking as her uncle, why bother remembering his name? Yang Tian was so smitten with that guy that if it weren't for the collective protests, the entire dorm would probably be covered in photos and posters of Yang Tian's idol.
Lu Qingyan easily noticed the jealousy in Yu Tian's eyes. She grinned maliciously and said sourly, "It's Xixi, you actually kept such a big thing from us."
Lu Qingyan shrugged: "If you're curious, you can see for yourself when he arrives."
"Let's go, let's go," Yang Tian exclaimed. "Let's go outside and wait now. We only have these two days of the weekend, and I can't go back to the dorm, so I can only stay here. Xi Xi, you and your partner can treat us to dinner."
Lu Qingyan nodded: "If he's free, I'll let him treat me; if he's not free, I'll treat him when I get back."
Yu Tian looked at Lu Qingyan hesitantly, and after a long while, she finally said what was on her mind: "Xi Xi, I already said it was my treat, but Yang Tian said you should treat this time, and I'll talk about it next time."
"Okay!" Yang Tian readily agreed, "I'll keep track of this debt for you, so don't forget it."
Yu Tian's expression instantly turned somewhat unpleasant.
Zhou An'an stepped in to smooth things over: "Alright, isn't everyone going to see Xixi's boyfriend? If we delay any longer, he might have already left."
The group spent a long time getting ready in the dormitory. Zhou An'an gave Yu Tianhe a light makeup, while Lu Qingyan and Yang Tian took a shower and changed their clothes. The five of them then left the dormitory together.
Yu Tian chattered away around Zhou An'an, Yang Tian and Lu Qingyan walked hand in hand, and only Zhao Sisi walked alone behind.
At the school's main entrance, a silver-white car was parked under the shade of trees on either side of the road; its manufacturer was unknown. Lu Qingyan knew Xia Junyue had arrived the moment she saw it, since only someone like him would choose such a unique car. Sure enough, Xia Junyue stepped out of the car a second later. He wore a black, custom-made suit, his wispy hair swept back, revealing his forehead, giving him an air of confidence.
Perhaps Zhou An'an was quite knowledgeable; she recognized the car's high value just by looking at it. Her eyes flickered, and she asked Lu Qingyan with a smile, "I've never seen this car your boyfriend drives before?"
Not wanting to put Lu Qingyan in a difficult position, Yang Tian quickly replied, "What's so strange about that? Maybe it's a newly released limited edition."
Lu Qingyan didn't explain, and ran to Xia Junyue's side in a few steps, saying affectionately, "Darling, you're here!"
Xia Junyue merely frowned at the address, showing no particular aversion. Well, it was his niece's way of showing affection, and he couldn't push her away.
Lu Qingyan pointed to each of them and introduced them: "They are all my roommates: Yang Tian, Zhao Sisi, Yu Tian, and Zhou An'an."
Xia Junyue nodded in greeting. Yang Tian, a sucker for good looks, was already captivated by Xia Junyue's stunning good looks, her eyes sparkling with hearts as she looked at him. However, she remained quite restrained, with only her dreamy eyes betraying her.
Looking at the handsome man in front of her, Yu Tian didn't want to admit that he was Lu Qingyan's boyfriend. Seeing that he was older, she addressed him as "you" instead: "Xixi said that you should treat us to dinner. Where should we go?"
Xia Junyue helped Lu Qingyan into the car: "Next time, I have something to do with her."
Xia Junyue was driving, looking unhappy. Lu Qingyan assumed he was too busy to treat her. She glanced at him a few times and cautiously said, "Uncle, I'll tell them you're my boyfriend."
