Chapter 982 Once Promised the Best Time 25.31

Lu Qingyan didn't think much of it, walked over, opened the door, and went inside.

For some reason, the room was very dark. Before Lu Qingyan could turn on the light, she smelled a strong stench of blood.

She called out in a trembling voice, "Teacher Smith?"

No one answered her, but the sound of a door locking could be heard outside: "Lu, you can stay here with the devil. God will not like someone like you."

"Let me out!" Lu Qingyan pounded on the door, but only heard footsteps getting farther and farther away.

With trembling hands, she turned on the light and saw a horrifying scene: Mr. Smith had been chopped into pieces, his head placed on the table facing the door. His eyes were wide open, filled with rage.

"Ah—" Lu Qingyan hugged her head and curled up by the door.

The blood in the room seeped into Lu Qingyan's mind. Even with her eyes closed, the scene she had just witnessed kept replaying in her head.

She shakily took out her cell phone, intending to call the police, but in her nervousness, she dialed the domestic emergency number instead.

Then I heard that the number was not in service, and I realized that I had to dial it again.

Because the incident occurred inside an internationally renowned university, the police arrived quickly.

"Please open the door." A voice came from outside, and Lu Qingyan felt much more at ease: "I'm sorry, I can't, I can't open it, I'm locked inside."

Lu Qingyan heard those people say a few words quickly, but she didn't hear them clearly before the door opened from the outside.

"Poor girl, may God bless you. You witnessed this terrible scene; I hope you won't have nightmares." A policewoman quickly embraced Lu Qingyan, comforting her.

However, the other man, who looked fierce, was not so polite. He said without any mercy, "Jesse, put away your pointless pity. We have no idea what happened. You don't need to show mercy to a suspect who may have committed murder."

“James, what you’re saying is going too far. She’s just a poor child. You don’t need to assume everyone is a bad person before this matter is resolved. If you really have such a vivid imagination, why are you still here? Shouldn’t you be writing those screenplays full of your imagination in those movie theaters?”

“Jesse, you know that’s not what I meant. I’m just worried that you might be easily deceived. God gave you a compassionate heart, but you’ve chosen a profession that doesn’t align with that compassion.”

“James, that’s just your prejudice. Okay, shut up. I need to take her back now, let her play some music to relax, and see if we can get any clues from her.” Jesse pushed James away and walked out with Lu Qingyan in her arms.

Lu Qingyan was still terrified by what she had seen earlier. She stood motionless as Jessie's father led her out, her hands tightly gripping his arm, afraid to let go.

When Jesse came down, he ran into Peter. Peter saw Lu Qingyan and couldn't help but exclaim, "My God, such a petite girl saw such a terrible sight? She's so unfortunate."

“Peter, stop talking. Your mouth is just as disgusting as James’s.”
