Ji Qi's heart rose again and his throat became dry.
"Can you at least give me a chance to pursue you and not sentence me to death just because of my past relationship with Jiang Qi?"

Xu Lingyi's eyelashes trembled. She turned her head to avoid Ji Qi's burning gaze, looked out the window and whispered, "Ji Qi, with your conditions, you don't have to be so humble in front of me. I can't bear it, you..."
Ji Qi interrupted her. He knew what she wanted to say, but it was obviously not what he wanted to hear.
"I'm willing to do it. It's not shameful to bow down in front of someone I like."
