Ji Qi seemed to see hope, and his eyes lit up instantly, as if there was light.
"You mean I'll have a chance only after you get divorced, right?"
Xu Lingyi shook her head: "Ji Qi, President Ji, even if Jiang Qi and I are divorced, it's impossible between us."
"Why not?" Ji Qi's voice was hoarse, his eyes were sad, and he asked anxiously:
"After the divorce, you're single, and so am I."
This was the first time Ji Qi fell in love with someone, so it was also the first time he experienced heartache.

In fact, he had thought about this result before he opened his mouth, but he didn't expect to be rejected so thoroughly, nor did he expect that he would be more heartbroken than he expected.
But Ji Qi is Ji Qi after all. Being sad doesn't mean he will give up.
Ji Qi took a deep breath and spoke hoarsely, as if to comfort himself, and also as if to give himself hope: "You just don't like me now, it doesn't mean you won't like me in the future."
"I don't regret what happened today. Even if you become distant from me, I don't regret letting you know. I don't want to always be your boss in your heart."
He also didn't want his feelings to be kept secret.
"You didn't know I liked you before. Even if I showed it obviously, you just thought it was the care of a boss for his subordinates. But now that you know it, I think you see me as a suitor."
Xu Lingyi's eyes met his. She could see strong affection in those dark eyes, and the love was so hot that it seemed about to burst out.
She was burned by his gaze and subconsciously looked away.
"I'll go back first." Xu Lingyi seemed to want to escape.
Ji Qi held her hand tightly, suppressing the bitterness in his heart: "I'll take you there. It's night time now, and it's not safe for you to go back alone."
Xu Lingyi shook her head firmly: "No need."
She pushed his hand away and walked quickly forward.
Ji Qi watched her walk towards the subway station until her back was completely out of sight.
He reached out his hand towards her back in embarrassment, and put it down again after a while, with a dull look in his eyes.
"That guy is so handsome. How could he be rejected if he confesses his feelings to someone so handsome?"
"If I didn't already have you, I would have gone after him."
"Humph, what's the point of being handsome? You still don't have a girlfriend."
Ji Qi felt even more lost as he watched the couples passing by.
If Xu Lingyi could agree to be with him, he would be the happiest man in the world.
Instead of being like now, where I can only envy the many people walking by.
"Hey, Mr. Jiang, Mr. Ji is drunk in our club. Do you want to try to stop him? If he drinks any more, he'll probably end up in the hospital."
The men under his command didn't dare to stop him, but they also didn't dare to let Ji Qi continue drinking.
If anything goes wrong if they continue to drink like this, their small club won’t be able to bear the consequences.

"I don't know how I offended you. Forget it, I'll take you back. Don't hit me again. Even if we're brothers, if you hit me again, I won't be polite either."
