The Short-Lived Ghost Who Was Borrowed for Life 2

Yu Shuang glanced at the sticky brother and sister, her eyes remaining calm and still.

His gaze fell on the beautiful woman next to Master Yu.

He met a pair of eyes that held a mixture of worry and inquiry.

Beneath that harmless exterior, there was an undeniable ruthlessness and scheming; what a femme fatale!

She casually withdrew her gaze, no longer hesitating to spare any attention for this group of trash.

To outsiders, it was no surprise that she was so ill that she didn't even have the strength to speak.

The beautiful woman has a kind heart:

"Husband, I see that Shuang'er's complexion has improved a lot. Let the doctor take a good look at her first."

Mr. Yu and his current wife are deeply in love. Without saying a word, they signaled to the doctor behind them to examine the patient.

Yu Shuang remained lying there, ignoring everyone.

This broken body will soon be able to do whatever it wants...

It's even better now that someone has arrived; being close by means they can reclaim what originally belonged to the owner more quickly.

Just as the doctor was about to take her pulse, Yu Weiwei suddenly let out a scream, her face turning pale, revealing a mask of pain.

"Ah! Dad, Mom, Brother, my head hurts so much! Waaah..."

She had felt a little dizzy before, as if something was draining from her body, but the feeling was negligible and she didn't pay much attention to it.

Now that important thing is slipping away even faster, it's giving her a splitting headache and inevitably making her feel panicked.

"Ouch! It hurts so much... Am I going to die? Waaah... I don't want to die... Father, Mother, Brother, save me... Ah..."

The fact that the pampered second young lady was in trouble instantly attracted everyone's attention.

They wouldn't care about some unloved young lady anymore.

There was a flurry of activity at the scene, with almost everyone worried about the second young lady. Yu Ziling quickly asked the doctor to examine the second young lady first.

Mr. Yu and Mrs. Yu shared the same idea.

The doctor took Yu Weiwei's pulse and exclaimed in astonishment:

"This pulse is extremely similar to that of six years ago. Her vital energy is being depleted too quickly. Could it be that the Second Miss's old illness has relapsed?"

Upon hearing this, Madam Yu turned to look at Yu Shuang with a hint of disbelief in her eyes.

How is that possible?

The life-swapping curse was broken? What about the vengeful ghost's marriage contract?

Has it also been compromised?

I was a little surprised to hear that the Gu worm she had planted had been spat out by this girl, but I didn't take it to heart. I just thought the girl was lucky.

The poison only controls the timing of this girl's death; it won't affect the overall plan to save Weiwei's life.

Now that the life-changing curse has been broken, how can she remain calm?

This girl definitely has a secret!

Just then, Yu Shuang sat up from the bed, got out of bed, and lazily stretched her limbs, looking completely different from her previous inhuman and ghostly appearance.

Madam Yu immediately understood, and a murderous glint appeared in her eyes.

Just as she guessed…

When Master Yu and Yu Ziling saw that Yu Shuang was able to get out of bed and move around, they stared wide-eyed in disbelief.

"Shuang'er, how did you recover so quickly?"

Yu Ziling seemed to have thought of something and questioned sharply:

"Tell me, is your second sister's current condition related to you?! You recovered from your illness, and then your second sister relapsed. It can't be such a coincidence."

The look in his eyes when he looked at his younger sister was filled with disgust, anger, and hatred, but there was absolutely no affection between them.

This older brother always knew how to hurt the original owner's feelings.

"Ah! Brother...it hurts so much, help me...ah..."

Yu Weiwei could no longer bear the excruciating pain and fainted.

Yu Shuang was finally somewhat satisfied with her current level of recovery, and gave Yu Ziling a disgusted look.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Don't you know whether it's related or not? It's not like you don't know I'm exchanging lives for her."

Yu Ziling stared at Yu Shuang in astonishment.

He seemed somewhat incredulous that his younger sister would speak to him in this manner.

He was used to his sister, who had killed their mother, trying to please everyone in the family in order to atone for her sins.

They have always been submissive and will swallow their anger even when faced with the most unfair things.

I've grown accustomed to her pitiful state of longing for the closeness of her family but being unable to obtain it.

He also felt that this was quite satisfying and could soothe his heartache at losing his mother at a young age.

But what's wrong with this younger sister? She's become so tough.

How dare she look at her brother like that, and talk to him like that?

How come I never knew this was such a rude and ill-mannered person! He's not even as good as one of Weiwei's fingers.

He deserved to die in Vivi's place!

The question now is, how did she know this secret?

"You knew? How could you possibly know?... "

Master Yu, adopting the dignified air of a patriarch, said in a deep voice:

"This is all too abnormal. Tell me the truth about what happened! Otherwise..."

Before he could finish speaking, he was hurriedly interrupted by Madam Yu, who was standing to the side.

"My husband! Our daughter is dying. As long as she lives, our daughter will die. Weiwei is our only child, I can't lose her! If anything happens to Weiwei, I won't live either, sob sob sob..."

Master Yu looked at Yu Shuang, having already made his decision between his two daughters six years ago.

If one of them has to be sacrificed, it must be this daughter.

However, he, who had always been respectable, did not want to be associated with the infamy of killing his daughter, nor could he bring himself to do it. He hoped that his daughter would willingly and obediently make the sacrifice.

"Shuang'er, please atone for the death of your mother and save your sister."

Yu Shuang's mocking gaze at the fool must have stung someone.

"Father, why waste words with her? I'll kill her right now and save Second Sister!"

Yu Ziling suddenly darted out, his expression fierce, and pounced on Yu Shuang.

Yu Shuang had also lost patience with watching the monkey show, so she decided to start by targeting the original owner's older brother.
