Shen Shuyi had a good meal and then took a nice bath.
Xie Xinghe was still the same. When he saw her taking a bath, he would go out and hide. When he came back, he had already taken a bath.
"Let's go!" Shen Shuyi took the purse, went to the stable to feed the horse, and then walked out of the inn.
As dusk falls, the streets are decorated with all kinds of small lanterns, painted with various patterns, including little rabbits, lotus flowers, Chang'e, and all kinds of beautiful and novel things.
The sounds of dragon and lion dances and the beating of gongs and drums can be heard in the distance. The Lantern Festival has begun and it is so lively.
Shen Shuyi walked to a silk and satin clothing shop. She took one look at the beautiful clothes hanging inside and her eyes suddenly lit up.
Xie Xinghe watched her walk in and stood outside the door without moving.
Shen Shuyi turned around and waved at him, "Come in and help me choose."
"I don't want to talk nonsense on the street."
Xie Xinghe saw the threat in her eyes, frowned and walked in, holding the sword in front of him and standing aside without looking at the girl. However, the young ladies coming and going in the shop couldn't help but secretly glance at him several times.
Shen Shuyi picked out a few brightly colored pieces and simply couldn't put them down.
Ancient skirts are really exquisite and of great texture, and of course they are not cheap.
Chen Shuyi took a goose yellow skirt and went in to change. When she came out, the shopkeeper had already come over with a bronze mirror to look her up and down.
The waiter held up the mirror and said with a smile, "Girl, this dress really suits you. You are as beautiful as Chang'e. It's hard to take your eyes off."
Shen Shuyi turned to look at Xie Xinghe, "How is it?"
"Um."
Shen Shuyi looked at the calm man holding the sword, "What does um mean?"
"I want to wear my best clothes to watch the lanterns."
Xie Xinghe looked at the stunningly beautiful girl in front of him, his gaze falling on her delicate features. "She looks beautiful."
Shen Shuyi hummed, “Of course I look good.”
She was wearing new clothes and walked out of the clothing store with Xie Xinghe. They suddenly ran into a dragon and lion dance team and the road became crowded.
Shen Shuyi had no choice but to move closer to Xie Xinghe. Xie Xinghe was tall, and the girl was in front of him, as if protecting him in her arms. No matter how crowded the crowd was, no one could bump into her.
After the lion dance team left, the crowds finally dispersed.
Shen Shuyi also saw the beautiful lanterns on both sides of the road. The vendors shouted loudly, hoping to sell more lanterns during the festival.
Shen Shuyi stopped in front of a stall and asked Xie Xinghe, "Do you want it?"
"don't want."
However, Shen Shuyi held up two fingers towards the merchant and said, “I want two.”
Xie Xinghe: “…”
Shen Shuyi picked out a small lantern with a green lotus flower and nudged Xie Xinghe with her elbow, "Pick one quickly. I've paid for it."
The small vendor specially recommended several lanterns with plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum patterns to Xie Xinghe. Xie Xinghe picked up a small orange-red paper lantern with a bamboo pattern on it.
"Let's go."
Chen Shuyi was holding a lantern, and the small lantern swayed in the night wind, which was particularly cute.
The night wind also fluttered the red headband on her head, lifting her long hair, making her look like a fairy under the light.
The night was long and the streets were brightly lit. Chen Shuyi ate pear blossom pastry and came to a stall selling masks.
"Boss, how much is this mask?"
The boss said warmly, "Thirty cents each, fifty cents for two."
Shen Shuyi picked out a ferocious tiger mask and a cute rabbit mask, and handed one to Xie Xinghe.
"One for you and one for me is just right."
Xie Xinghe looked at the mask stuffed into his hands and refused to wear it.
Shen Shuyi took the mask and put the cute rabbit on him directly.
She said angrily, "Don't pick it, if you pick it... tonight... tonight I will punish you... ugh!!"
Xie Xinghe covered her mouth with his hand.
Shen Shuyi watched him walking in front with a contrasting mask on, and she followed him with satisfaction. She liked the hustle and bustle and was ready to release river lanterns towards the busiest part of the moat.
At this time, fireworks bloomed in the night sky, rumbled a few times, and fell like a shower of stars.
Bright lights were lit up one after another in the streets and alleys of Donglin City, and the lights and the moon shone together.
Xie Xinghe walked in the brilliant sea of stars, holding freshly roasted fragrant chestnuts in his arms and a string of candied haws in his hand. He looked at the girl walking in front of him.
Seeing the night wind lifting her long hair, for some reason, a subtle feeling arose in her heart, and her heartbeat began to beat abnormally.
Suddenly, there was a commotion in the crowd ahead, and a large group of people crowded over, knocking the roadside stalls and lanterns to the ground.
Xie Xinghe was separated by the crowd, and when he turned around, the girl was gone.
He went against the crowd, frowned and looked back to find Shen Shuyi.
Fortunately, she has a graceful figure, wears a goose yellow dress, and has a red headband, making her easy to recognize.
Xie Xinghe's eyes fell on the woman in front of him. He avoided the crowd and flew in front of the girl. Unexpectedly, there was someone pushing in front of him, and Shen Shuyi was bumped into the man's arms.
Chen Shuyi was hugged by Xie Xinghe around the waist and flew to a quiet, secluded place without crowds. The masks of both of them fell off at this moment.
She raised her head and met Xie Xinghe's deep eyes.
The man was still holding a lantern in his hand, standing under the dimly lit tree, looking at the other person quietly, his heart suddenly skipping a beat.
Xie Xinghe quickly let go of his hand and coughed lightly, "Can we go back now?"
“Oh, well, there are still too many people.” Shen Shuyi looked at him, “Where’s Li Zi?”
It wasn't squeezed out, she didn't have time to eat it.
Xie Xinghe laughed.
This was the first time Shen Shuyi saw Xie Xinghe smile like this. He was dressed in white and looked as gentle as jade. “You look so beautiful when you smile.”
Xie Xinghe pursed his lips and suppressed his smile.
Shen Shuyi, “Who are you smiling for?”
