The people from Canglan Sword Sect had breakfast together and then set off for Longkou Town. From Longkou Town, they could cross the river to Penglai Island.
Chen Shuyi was tired of riding in a carriage, so he would occasionally go out for a horse ride.
The horses were given to her by the junior brothers from the Canglan Sword Sect. The junior brothers were all enthusiastic people. Zuo Ziyun gave his horse to Shen Shuyi and he rode together with the other junior brothers.
"Mr. Zuo, thank you."
"Miss Chen, you're welcome." Zuo Ziyun stood behind his fellow disciple and leaned out to talk to the beautiful woman in red next to him.
"We've settled this matter. How about we go to the grasslands for horse racing next time?"
Xie Xinghe, who was originally driving the car, suddenly interrupted.
"Stop and rest ahead."
Shen Shuyi muttered, “I’m not hungry yet, I haven’t ridden enough.”
Xie Xinghe got off the carriage, but before she noticed, the man had come to her horse and grabbed her by the waist and got her down.
He strode with long legs, and immediately put some distance between himself and his fellow apprentices behind him.
After Chen Shuyi was put on the tree to sit, she looked at the man who was silently making a fire.
"What's wrong? I just wanted to say a few more words to your junior brother, and you can't even do that?"
"Could it be that you are afraid that I will play tricks on your fellow apprentices?"
The veins on Xie Xinghe's forehead throbbed, "Shut up."
"Humph, you take my nonsense seriously."
While no one else was looking, Shen Shuyi pulled Xie Xinghe's hand and said, "Xie Xinghe, I don't play with others."
"If I want to play, I'll play you."
Xie Xinghe pried her hands apart, went hunting with an expressionless face, and then came back to roast the pheasant.
He didn't even look at the girl when he turned the pheasant. Shen Shuyi felt bored and went to the opposite side. She chatted with her junior brothers about all sorts of things.
Zuo Ziyun came over and said, "Miss Shen, I've been feeling pain in my chest lately. Can you take my pulse?"
Shen Shuyi raised her hand, and a silk thread instantly wrapped around Zuo Ziyun's wrist. She said slowly, "You just have a problem with the climate, it's not a serious illness."
"Look, see that clump of grass up ahead? It's spread out on the ground, branched, hairless, and has flat, thick leaves that resemble horse teeth. It's called Portulaca oleracea. It clears away heat and dampness, and can treat acclimatization. Boil some water with it and drink it."
Zuo Ziyun swallowed his saliva and asked, "Can this weed be eaten?"
"You can try."
Zuo Ziyun thought, these are just weeds, they can’t possibly defeat a martial arts expert like him, so he started to pull the weeds.
The other junior brothers came over and asked Miss Shen to take their pulses.
Chen Shuyi was bored, so he waved his silver thread to diagnose them one by one.
She quickly became friends with the fellow disciples of the Canglan Sword Sect. One of them went to tell Senior Brother Xinghe how amazing Miss Shen was and how she had cured his long-standing illness. As soon as he approached Senior Brother Xinghe, he realized that the air around him was a little cold.
The junior brother shuddered subconsciously, said only two words and ran away.
Xie Xinghe felt irritated for some reason when he heard the laughter coming one after another, especially when he saw Shen Shuyi whispering with others and looking at him, he felt an inconsolable depression in his heart.
Xie Xinghe took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down. He turned the roasted pheasant and spoke.
"It's ready."
Upon hearing this, Shen Shuyi returned to Xie Xinghe and naturally took the chicken leg he handed over.
As a result, the man held on to the chicken leg and refused to let go.
Shen Shuyi raised his eyes to look at him, "If you don't want to give it to me, just say so. At worst, I can go find Mr. Zuo and the others to eat roasted hare."
Xie Xinghe let go of his hand, "I didn't say I wouldn't give it to you."
Shen Shuyi took the chicken leg and took a bite, "Wow, it's so hot!"
"Xie Xinghe, did you burn me on purpose?"
Xie Xinghe looked at her eyes that were misty with heat and heard her coquettish voice. He was stunned for a moment and didn't know what to say.
After eating and drinking, Shen Shuyi quietly nudged Xie Xinghe with his elbow, "What should we do tomorrow?"
It's the third day again. There aren't any villages or inns along the way. Is it possible that I have to...
Xie Xinghe's ears flushed when he heard this. He coughed lightly and said, "Let's go somewhere else to rest tonight."
"If they find out, they'll definitely think too much. Aren't you afraid of gossip?"
"They won't talk too much."
"That can't stop other people from thinking too much."
"I don't care what anyone thinks."
Shen Shuyi laughed out loud after hearing his words, "I understand, the sword is the only thing in your heart."
This time Xie Xinghe did not refute.
…
The next day at night, Chen Shuyi rested in the carriage, Xie Xinghe meditated where the carriage was driven, and the other brothers either rested against a tree or lay on the tree trunk to sleep. There was a bonfire burning underneath, and the night was extremely quiet.
Shen Shuyi was already feeling hot. She lifted the car curtain, put her hands on Xie Xinghe's neck, and asked him, "Xie Xinghe, why are you sulking during the day?"
"Let go." Xie Xinghe tried to break free from her hand.
Shen Shuyi's eyebrows curved, and she whispered in his ear, "I'm sure I hit the nail on the head."
"No." Xie Xinghe denied without hesitation.
Shen Shuyi bit his ear and said, "Hurry up, I can't hold on any longer."
Xie Xinghe was helpless, so he picked the man up by the waist and flew towards the top of the mountain.
When Shen Shuyi reached the top of the mountain, he smelled the smell of sulfur blowing in the wind.
She looked down and saw a pool of hot springs appearing under the moonlight, and she couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.
"Xie Xinghe, there are hot springs!"
During the time she camped outdoors, not only did she not have hot water for a bath, but even taking a bath in the river was a hassle. After all, there were a large group of junior brothers from the Canglan Sword Sect around her, so unlike before, she didn't need to hide from Xie Xinghe at all.
After landing on the ground, Shen Shuyi undressed and walked towards the hot spring.
