Chapter 305 We're Divorced [2]

"How much do you think Shu Manbai loves Xiao Mo?" Shang Xian asked, leaning back on the sofa with her arms crossed.

Moxi shook his head: "Love cannot be measured by the word 'more.' In marriage, there are two possibilities: one is a calm and uneventful relationship, and the other is a love that is intense, thorough, and passionate."

"You know quite a lot," Shang Xian said with a smile.

"Not knowing much is simply a matter of seeing a lot."

"After all, he's an old monster. He's lived for so long, he must know a lot," Shang Xian joked.

Moxi smacked his lips, finding this rather pointless: "You call me 'old comrade' one minute and 'old monster' the next, is that interesting?"

"It's just a casual remark," Shang Xian chuckled awkwardly, then continued, "So what does Xiao Mo do for a living?"

Mo Xi continued flipping through the notebook: "Xiao Mo does own a film and television media company. He's what people call the behind-the-scenes boss in the entertainment industry. His company makes everyone famous, and people are scrambling to get in. But everyone in the industry knows that Xiao Mo is married. There are too many people who want to be famous, and there are too many shameless ones. Who cares if he's married or not? Even if others find out he's a mistress, he can still become famous. Besides, who wouldn't love a rich, powerful, young, and promising boss like Xiao Mo?"

"That's understandable. There aren't many clean people in this circle; hype is commonplace," Shang Xian chuckled, feeling sorry for the original wife: "It's good that you left. It's better not to associate with such a big shot."

After saying all that, Shang Xian began to have doubts. She looked at Mo Xi and asked, "So what is the mission?"

Moxi shrugged: "I don't know, it all depends on how the story unfolds."

Actually, this wasn't really a mission; it was just that this dimension was the only way he could have an identity to stay by her side.

"What's this?"

“This dimension has another identity,” Moxi said, closing the notebook and taking off his glasses to look at Shang Xian.

Seeing her confused expression, he said, "After Shu Manbai started living alone, her childhood sweetheart, Feng Yuanche, returned from abroad. You could say he came back as soon as he learned that Shu Manbai had paranoia. He just kept an eye on her without showing up. Later, when she was alone in the country, this childhood sweetheart would come over every day to bring her a red rose in a vase. He did this every day for two years without fail."

"This time it's a true childhood sweetheart story!" Shang Xian's heart was pounding with excitement. She slowly looked at Mo Xi: "You're the character?"

She thought about it again and realized that the role was pretty good. At least Moxi could stay by her side and cook for her every day...hehe.

"Yes, are you happy? We can live together," Moxi said with a smile.

Shang Xian was relieved to hear this: "Great, you can cook for me now."

Moxi's smile instantly froze on his face.

"Is this all I'm good for?" Moxi pointed to himself incredulously.

Shang Xian, still looking dissatisfied, tentatively asked, "Does that count as playing with me?"

Alright, Moxi has finally found his place. Turns out, he's just someone who eats and plays with her—no, he's someone who cooks for her.

Shit!

"Actually, Xiao Mo has been looking for Shu Manbai for the past two years. Since the divorce, Xiao Mo has not had a single scandal, and even those who want to get close to him can't get a chance to see him."

Shang Xian chuckled: "Isn't it ridiculous? You only realize what it means to keep your distance after a divorce."

"A common problem among many men: they accept all comers."

Shang Xian was immediately impressed by Moxi's choice of words.
