Chapter 215 Imperial Power, An Empress [54]

Shang Xian stayed peacefully in the cell, watching the light outside gradually dim. It must be evening. She stared blankly at the roof where Mo Xi had chiseled a hole. What would happen if it rained?

As I was thinking this, I suddenly heard footsteps outside.

She turned her head and saw that it was Dugu Lianbai, who had come in carrying a food box.

This older brother is the best!

"You're here!" Shang Xian jumped up from the straw mat.

Dugu Lianbai looked at the food box and then at the prison door. He tried several times but still couldn't figure out how to get it in.

Shang Xian was very anxious, not because the food box couldn't get in, but because he was worried about Shang Xian's intelligence!

She silently took out the key and opened the cell door, looking coldly at Dugu Lianbai, who was still trying to pass the food box through the crack in the door.

Shang Xian knocked on the iron gate with his key: "Hey buddy, look here, look here."

Dugu Lianbai looked at the open cell door, scratched his head awkwardly, and handed over the food box. He was about to walk in when Shang Xian pushed him, causing him to stumble and almost fall. Shang Xian then locked the cell door again.

"Ouch...did I hit you too hard? Are you alright?" Shang Xian reached out from the doorway and touched Dugu Lianbai, who was squatting on the ground.

"Why won't you let me in!" After all, she was a prince who had been pampered since childhood, and when her temper flared up, how could he possibly wrong himself?

"I'm doing this for your own good. If you stay with me, and your brother finds out, you'll be implicated," Shang Xian said with a grin, showing no awareness that she was a prisoner.

Dugu Lianbai laughed as well: "You know what, I've already been implicated by you."

Shang Xian: "..." She was speechless.

"Then why are you laughing so happily?" Is he sick?

"I want to lock myself in with you. You're so interesting, I like you." Suddenly, he realized his words were inappropriate and quickly waved his hand: "It's not the kind of liking you're thinking of, it's more like..."

Yeah... I just find it interesting.

"I know, I am really funny," Shang Xian said, picking up a piece of pork rib and eating it.

Seeing Dugu Lianbai squatting by the iron gate, Shang Xian put down his chopsticks and immediately asked Mo Xi for a folding chair.

"Take it yourself next to the straw mat," Moshi said.

She moved the straw mat aside, and the moment she saw the folding chair, her temples throbbed twice...

This is a folding recliner!

She steeled herself and lifted the folding chair, handing it to Dugu Lianbai through the gap in the iron gate: "Can you help me out?"

Dugu Lianbai quickly stood up and took it.

Shang Xian clapped his hands: "Sit down."

Dugu Lianbai held the folding recliner, at a loss.

Shang Xian sighed, "Stupid!"

"Just put it down first, then open it."

Dugu Lianbai understood immediately, but after unfolding the folding recliner, he was stunned again.

"Sit down, I think this is quite comfortable," Shang Xian said, and started eating again.

After sitting down, Dugu Lianbai discovered that the height could be adjusted, and he loved it.

"Where did you get this?" Dugu Lianbai lay on it like a salted fish...

"I am a deity, I can conjure things up," Shang Xian replied dismissively.

"Oh, right, I wanted to ask you something." Dugu Lianbai had almost forgotten about this again.

"You said," Shang Xian took a spoonful of soup, scooped it up with a spoon, and blew on it.

Dugu Lianbai rested his chin on his hand and began to recount the incident: "Hanzhi is sick. A-Ling said she would take Hanzhi to see his master, but A-Ling's master doesn't seem to know medicine, which puzzled me a bit. He—"

"Pfft—" Shang Xian spat out a mouthful of soup.
