The fact that this woman could so clearly remind Shen Yi to stop thinking about unnecessary things shows she's quite interesting.
"Li Ci is a smart man, and I look forward to meeting him." Shen Yi naturally understood this as well; everyone pretends to be ignorant when they're actually smart.
The three had different thoughts.
Shang Xian dared not mention this matter, fearing that things would get out of control with Shen Yi, and she really had no heart for dating.
"Mo Xixi, when can we go home?" Shang Xian asked, subtly changing the subject as he rested his chin on his hand.
"Want to go home?" Moxi asked cheekily as he leaned closer.
Shang Xian glanced at him: "Shen Yi and I are both dead. What about Licheng?"
The key question is whether they'll actually be dragged to the crematorium.
"Because you two were on a mission, your injuries were classified as a car accident, and you're both currently in a VIP ward."
Shang Xian wanted to ask about her parents and Li Ci, but before she could speak, Mo Xi shook her head at her. She didn't know what it meant; perhaps it was telling her not to mention it, or perhaps...
She silently looked up at Shen Yi. His home seemed different from ordinary families, perhaps to avoid making him sad.
"Ah Yi, is your family... well... emm?" Shang Xian wanted to ask, but was afraid of being impolite.
"Not good!" Shen Yi showed no intention of dodging. It was a fact, and there was no need to lie.
Shang Xian nodded: "It's alright, you can put the bigger picture first."
Shen Yi and Mo Xi gave her a strange look, and she quickly waved her hand, "Don't overthink it! It just means we're having dinner together."
"Aren't we familiar with each other?" Shen Yi looked at her with a puzzled expression.
"We're pretty close now, but I don't know about back in Licheng. If we're still close, you can have dinner with me and Li Ci. My parents will be there too, so you can feel the warmth of home."
Shen Yi paused for a moment, then laughed and said, "We'll have to wait until we can get back."
"Forget it, let nature take its course. I need to work hard to complete the mission and return to Licheng!" Shang Xian had a new motivation. As long as he completed the mission, he could go home and see them.
Moxi was overjoyed to hear Shang Xian's words: "Whatever you want to eat tonight, it's fine with me."
"I want to eat mini wontons!"
"That's all?" Moxi couldn't believe it. He had planned to prepare a grand feast, and he had everything ready, but he was given this thing instead.
Shen Yi just smiled and remained silent. Who would believe that Shang Xian was so simple?
"The wonton wrappers should be made with spinach juice and the dough should be bite-sized. The filling should be shrimp," Shang Xian said, revealing a wolfish grin as he looked at Mo Xi. "And I want you to make them yourself!"
Moxi: "..." He forced a smile and looked at Shen Yi for help. Shen Yi nodded: "Let's go together."
Moxi gave Shenyi a bear hug and almost kissed him.
"Get out!" Shen Yi glared at him, and Mo Xi obediently went to the kitchen.
Shang Xian was just saying it casually; she had no idea that these two men would actually take it seriously!
"I..." Shang Xian sighed, then smiled and said, "I'll help you!"
The three of them busied themselves in the kitchen. Shangxian washed a handful of spinach and put it in the juicer, while Moxi mixed the dough with the spinach juice. Together, they started making wontons. Shangxian held the wrapper, looking lost, and watched them wrap the wontons one by one, lost in thought.
Shen Yi glanced at her: "Go sit down, we'll eat later."
"Little Fairy, have you never cooked anything before?"
