Chapter 334 The Ending [2]

"You two just got married today, right? We'll give you a 50% discount," the manager said politely, putting his hands together.

Shang Xian suddenly looked up at the manager, Segovia simply smiled, and stood up: "How about this, I'll cover the expenses for everyone present today."

After saying that, he sat down again, propping his chin up and watching Shang Xian eat.

The audience gasped in surprise, and some whispered among themselves that Shang Xian in the wedding dress looked very familiar...

After Shang Xian finished her meal quietly, Segovia handed her a napkin. He paid the entire bill and led Shang Xian out the door.

“I’ll be seeing you off in a little while,” Segovia said, looking up at the brightly lit night.

Shang Xian remained silent and sat down on the bench.

"Let's have a chat," Shang Xian patted the spot next to him and looked at Segovia.

Segovia sat down beside her and let out a long sigh of relief.

"If we leave, we'll never see each other again, right?" Shang Xian leaned back in her chair, mimicking his posture.

Segovia turned his head and stared at her for a very long time...

"What's wrong?" Shang Xian met his gaze.

He wanted to remember you, to remember the human girl he had fallen in love with.

Shang Xian smiled gently.

Segovia looked away and moved closer to her, pulling her into his arms. He whispered in her ear, "I wanted to take you back to my castle, to show you my life... but it's too late."

He was seeing her off tonight.

"It's a bit of a pity, I wanted to see your castle," Shang Xian forced a smile, but it was a truly bitter smile...

"Next life, next life," Segovia slowly closed his eyes, continuing to talk about the next life.

Shang Xian let him hold her, but felt a little uncomfortable, as if something was still missing.

Suddenly Segovia opened his eyes, stood up, and a golden illusionary void appeared before him.

“Once you get through this illusion, you can go back,” Segovia said, standing in front of the void in the environment and reaching out her hand to Shang Xian.

Shang Xian slowly stood up, walked to his side, and just as she placed her hand on Segovia's left hand, she saw Segovia take something in his right hand and put a ring on the index finger of her right hand.

Shang Xian stared blankly at the ring on her left index finger. It was shaped like a flower branch with a dazzling diamond in the center, and it was very exquisite.

She knew that wearing a ring on the index finger meant being unmarried, but she didn't know what Segovia meant.

"I'll put a ring on your index finger, and you can keep your ring finger for your future partner." Before he knew it, he too had a matching ring on his index finger, mirroring the one on her hand.

He wanted her to wear the ring, so he could find her in the next life...

Segovia reached out and placed his hand on her forehead. His palm glowed with a faint white light. When Shang Xian opened her eyes, the look in her eyes when she saw Segovia was different; it was a completely unfamiliar look...

"It's time to go home, Shang Xian..." Shang Xian was puzzled by Segovia's words. She wondered why he knew her name, and for some reason, she still obediently turned around and entered the illusionary void.

Segovia's golden illusion vanished, his eyes dimmed, and he whispered three words: "I'll wait for you."

“You are far more resolute than the priest,” a Taoist voice came from behind.

A man dressed in white robes, Yaheng, emerged from the darkness and stood beside him.

Segovia smiled, rubbing his thumb against the ring on his index finger, completely ignoring what Yaheng said.

Yaheng pouted: "This time it's not me who's here to see you, it's the lord."
