Chapter 327 We're Divorced [24]

Shang Xian lowered her head and played with her fingers, her thoughts wandering elsewhere. She was thinking about how to play this role well and make the character of Shu Manbai more charming.

The car stopped in front of the villa. Shang Xian opened the car door and pressed the fingerprint lock while pondering the question.

Xiao Mo and Mo Xi exchanged a glance. Mo Xi shrugged: "I don't know either."

After they entered the room, they immediately closed the door, both fully aware that paparazzi were still lurking outside.

"They all saw it, right? It's up to you to do it tomorrow," Moxi said, placing two large bags of ingredients on the kitchen table.

"I understand." Xiao Mo never expected Feng Yuanche to do this. He was actually going to have a peaceful meal with his love rival today.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" Xiao Mo rolled up his sleeves and walked into the kitchen. He couldn't cook... but he could at least ask.

"Wash those bok choy and lettuce. Manman needs to eat more vegetables," Moxi pointed to the vegetables in the bag.

Xiao Mo held the greens in his hand, then looked at the lettuce and asked, "Should we wash this in a basin?"

Moxi paused for a moment, looking at him strangely: "Otherwise, how do you plan to wash it?"

"Uh..." Xiao Mo was speechless and carefully went to wash the vegetables.

Moxi was devastated when he saw him washing each hair one by one, but after thinking about it, he decided to let him play by himself.

The kitchen was filled with harmony.

After thinking about the problem, Shang Xian ran to the kitchen door and peeked inside.

Moxi turned to look at her, pointed to his ears, and Shang Xian immediately understood what he meant and nodded: "I've put them on."

Upon hearing her voice, Xiao Mo slowly stopped what he was doing; he genuinely didn't dare to look at her.

"Do you need me to do anything? I'm hungry." She was actually hungry; the preceding sentence can be omitted.

"Go sit down. There's food in the left drawer under the coffee table, but you can only eat a little bit," Moxi replied while carefully chopping vegetables.

"Oh, okay," Shang Xian said, walking away in her fluffy slippers. She was really hungry and was going to find something to eat where Mo Xi had suggested.

She crouched down and rummaged through the drawer under the coffee table until she found a bag of macadamia nuts, but since they were still in their shells, she didn't want to eat them. So she turned her attention to the bag of preserved plum candies, and heard Moxi's voice softly in her ear: "No candy."

Just as Shang Xian was about to ask if one would be enough, Mo Xi continued, "I don't believe even one."

She pouted and muttered under her breath, "Fine, I won't eat it then."

Then, she angrily closed the drawer, propped her chin up, and sat in the chair waiting for her meal.

"Cheche, can we eat now?" Shangxian asked every few minutes, sounding increasingly aggrieved...

"Wait a little longer," Moxi was speechless. She was already hungry after just getting back.

Xiao Mo listened to their conversation and asked with some confusion, "Have you always been getting along like this?"

Moxi put the chopped ingredients into a plate before replying, "I've been taking care of her like this for the past two years. It's just that most of the time I've brought her food. Although we've known each other since childhood, I've really been slowly getting closer to her and interacting with her over the past two years. I've been very careful, afraid that any action might make her react negatively. It's not easy for me to be able to enter this house openly and honestly."

After Mo Xi finished speaking, he smiled at Xiao Mo and then brought the hot pot to the table.

Xiao Mo forced a smile at the air. He couldn't refute what his rival in love had said—how ironic!
