"Tick-tock—"
"Tick-tock—"
All Shang Xian could hear were the sounds of equipment and instruments. It was as if he had been in a car accident, as if he had a long, painful dream...
In that dream, there seemed to be a man with wings, but she couldn't remember his face. There also seemed to be another man, whom she remembered was very handsome. The more she thought about it, the more her head ached.
She slowly opened her eyes, her whole body aching.
A nurse was so surprised to see her open her eyes that she immediately ran out shouting, "Doctor, the patient in the ICU has woken up!"
A group of doctors rushed over when they heard the news.
"Quickly, notify the family," the doctor instructed, after all, this was the eldest daughter of the Shang family!
They notified Li Ci first, and then Shang's parents, because for the past year and a half, Li Ci had been in charge of all matters concerning Shang Xian, and Shang's parents had not been involved.
Oh, and they also notified Shenyi...
Shen Yi woke up more than half a year ago and recovered well. He is now in excellent condition. He also left his number with the hospital so that they can notify him as soon as Shang Xian wakes up.
The doctors checked Shang Xian's condition repeatedly. How could someone who had been hovering on the brink of death every day suddenly wake up?
Miracle?
Li Ci was in an important meeting when he received the call from the hospital. Every time the hospital called, he had to be mentally prepared, fearing that one of the calls would be to say that she was gone...
He made a stop gesture, took his phone and left the conference room. He answered the call, his heart pounding in his chest.
"Mr. Li, Miss Shang is awake!"
Upon hearing this, he felt completely out of control. He immediately hung up the phone and instructed his assistant, "Postpone the meeting."
The assistant immediately understood that something must have happened on Ms. Shang's side, and went into the meeting room to explain the meeting postponement.
Li Ci sped into the hospital...
As soon as he opened the door, he saw Shang Xian, whose face had become so thin that it resembled a V-shape, sitting quietly on the hospital bed, with several doctors still performing related examinations on her.
After Li Ci arrived, the doctors told him about some matters, and he listened while his gaze never left Shang Xian's face.
Shang Xian kept staring at her left index finger because there was a ring on it that she couldn't remember when she had put it on...
After the doctors left, they closed the ward door behind them. Li Ci stood there watching her.
Suddenly noticing the silence around her, Shang Xian felt a burning gaze. When she looked up, she saw Li Ci.
She slowly reached out her hand in his direction, and Li Ci immediately walked up to her, took her small hand that was now just skin and bones, knelt on one knee by the bed, and gently hugged her.
"Li Ci? Ci-ge'er?" Shang Xian called him several times, but Li Ci did not respond.
"I'm so afraid you'll leave me," Li Ci's voice choked with emotion. For the past year or so, the only thing keeping him alive was that she was still breathing; perhaps she could survive...
Shang Xian fell silent. Her mind was foggy, and she felt like she had forgotten a lot of things.
Afraid of hurting her, Li Ci released her hand and sat on the edge of the bed, holding her cold little hand.
"I think I had a very long dream..." Shang Xian still felt that some people had appeared in her mind, but unfortunately she forgot their faces.
I did feel a bit lost when I woke up from the dream.
She turned her head to look out the window; the sunlight wasn't too harsh.
