Chapter 436 The Ending [14]

"You should know that I, Shenyi, will use any means necessary to get what I want," Shenyi said with a slight smile.

Shang Xian shook his head: "No, you would never force me, no matter what."

In fact, she didn't know where she got the confidence to say that, but subconsciously she felt that even if Shen Yi hurt himself, he wouldn't have the heart to hurt her.

This statement stunned Shen Yi. Could he...?

Because he couldn't bear to part with it.

He stared at Shang Xian: "If it weren't for Li Ci, would you have considered accepting me?"

"Sure, you have everything. You'd be missing out if you didn't marry you," Shang Xian smiled, handing Shen Yi a set of black pajamas. "These pajamas are from when I was wearing men's clothes. They're a bit big, but you should be able to wear them."

Shen Yi took the pajamas, but he didn't listen to what she said; he was thinking about something else.

"I'm going to take a shower now. There's another bathroom further in that you can use," Shang Xian pointed to the bathroom in front of her.

Shen Yi nodded after regaining his senses.

After Shang Xian went upstairs to take a shower, she came downstairs again, just as Shen Yi, wearing black pajamas, was walking towards her.

Shang Xian kicked off her shoes and sat cross-legged on the sofa. Her freshly washed hair was still dripping wet. Shen Yi frowned and said, "Don't you know that not drying your hair will cause a headache?"

Shang Xian turned to look at him. Those words sounded so familiar, like she'd heard them somewhere before, but the memory kept getting hazy in her mind.

"The hairdryer is too hot, it makes my face dry," Shang Xian stared blankly at him.

Shen Yi brought her a towel to dry her hair and said earnestly, "Take care of yourself."

The same scene, the same people saying similar things, but unfortunately they don't remember each other anymore.

After a long silence, Shang Xian finally spoke, asking, "Have I seen you before?"

"have no idea"

Shen Yi placed the towel on the shelf and sat down next to Shang Xian. Why was this girl named Shang Xian always his obsession?

“Li Ci is actually…” Shen Yi looked at Shang Xian after a while, wanting to say something to her, but he accidentally mentioned Li Ci. He didn’t know whether he should continue.

What happened to Li Ci?

What do you think of him?

"It's very clean," she said, referring to a cleanliness that no man could match. Shang Xian met Shen Yi's gaze, as if asking, "Are you still clean?"

Shen Yi stretched out his long, slender fingers with distinct knuckles and gently ruffled her half-dry hair, smiling slightly: "Li Ci isn't as clean as you think."

"No way, I've been with him for about twenty years, and I still have this..." (The sentence is incomplete and lacks context.)

She didn't say the last two words because she had forgotten the year and a half she had spent in the hospital. She didn't know what Li Ci was like; he must have been in a lot of pain...

In her opinion.

Shen Yi guessed what she was going to say, and he nodded slightly: "For more than a year, Li Ci has indeed been like a soulless shell, so he..." Shen Yi shrugged, believing that Shang Xian should know what he was going to say next.

Hearing Shen Yi say that, Shang Xian felt a little uncomfortable, as if he had a lump in his throat.

Shen Yi opened her phone and showed a photo of a very beautiful woman. She recognized the woman; she was Yan Ruyu, their college classmate.

Yan Ruyu was the summer on their university's popularity list. Back then, their university's list didn't have rankings; it was divided into four types: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Shang Xian was the autumn type, with an autumnal temperament, touching her face yet remaining distant.

In her memory, this girl was very feisty, but she was also very righteous. If possible, she would very much like to get along with this girl.
