Chapter 379 The Coward's Black Moonlight Witch 10
He Baifeng took the bowl of water and pulled a yellow talisman from her bosom. With a flick of her finger, the talisman spun gently in the air. "The sky is clear and the earth is bright, the sun and the moon shine together, yin and yang are in harmony, and all things return to their proper places. I hold the peach wood, slaying demons and eliminating evil. Evil spirits retreat, and righteousness endures."
Then he threw the burning talisman paper into the clear water and began to circle the yard, sprinkling the water on the ground while continuing to chant: "A bowl of clear water, a bright mirror hanging high, illuminating evil spirits, leaving them nowhere to hide. A piece of talisman paper, a flickering flame, burning away evil spirits, purifying the four directions..."
While He Baifeng was performing the ritual, Shen Xinran sat quietly on the stool, but she suddenly heard a cat's meow.
Mrs. Chen was holding her breath, observing He Baifeng's every move. She shook her head subconsciously, "We don't have a cat at home."
Although Mrs. Chen said that they didn't have a cat at home, Shen Xinran felt that the cat's meow was becoming clearer and clearer. She stood up and followed the sound to the back of the house.
I saw a little black cat lying in the gap between the house and the back mountain, its fur shining faintly in the dim light.
Shen Xinran fell in love with this black guy almost at first sight. It was so cute and she wanted to rub it. She clapped her hands at the black cat and said with a smile: "Mimi, come here!"
But the black cat just raised its head, glanced at Shen Xinran with its deep eyes, and then closed its eyes indifferently.
Shen Xinran frowned and thought for a moment, then took out a bag of milk from her pocket. This was something He Baifeng had brought for her because she was worried that she would be hungry during the trip. "Mimi, do you want to drink? Come here if you want."
This time, the little black cat didn't even raise its eyes, obviously not interested in the milk.
Shen Xinran suddenly remembered something and asked, "Do you want to eat dried fish? The kind that's fried until crispy and crunchy. As long as you come home with me, I'll treat you to dried fish."
At the same time, He Baifeng completed her ritual and began to pack up.
Mrs. Chen stepped forward and handed the reward to He Baifeng. "Thank you so much for troubling you today. I hope you will accept this small token of my respect."
After He Baifeng put the money away, she called out, "Niuniu, we can go now."
Seeing Shen Xinran coming from behind the house with a bunch of clothes in his arms, she asked, "Why did you take off your clothes?"
Shen Xinran smiled and replied, "Hot."
He Baifeng didn't think much about it, just nodded, "Then let's go home!"
…
After Shen Xinran returned to her room, she carefully opened her clothes, revealing the little black cat hiding inside.
She gently placed the little black cat on the desk, then walked to the kitchen and took out the dried fish that He Baifeng had fried last night from the cupboard.
The moment the little black cat saw the dried fish, its eyes lit up. It lowered its head and ate the dried fish, almost one bite at a time. Its soft fur emitted a deep and mysterious glow.
Shen Xinran sat next to it, gently stroking the little black cat's back with his hand, feeling its soft fur and warm body temperature.
He Baifeng's voice suddenly came from the kitchen: "Niuniu, did you take the dried fish?"
Shen Xinran immediately responded: "Yes."
But when she turned around, the bowl of dried fish was empty, the little black cat was nowhere to be seen, and her window was wide open.
This made Shen Xinran frown. Did he deny it after eating it? She hadn't touched it enough!
Shen Xinran came out of the room and said to He Baifeng: "Grandma, I want to go out and play for a while."
He Baifeng had already started preparing lunch. She nodded and said, "Okay, but you can't leave the village."
Shen Xinran agreed and began to look for the little black cat. But she walked from He's house to the village entrance, but she didn't see any trace of the little black cat. Thinking of He Baifeng's instructions, she could only turn back.
From a distance, she saw something glowing. When she got closer, she saw it was Chu Bojian. This made her mouth drop open in surprise. "What's wrong with your hair?"
Chu Bojian touched his bald head and smiled proudly, "I just shaved it. How is it? It looks good, right?"
Shen Xinran nodded, then stared at Chu Bojian's head intently. Without the obstruction of hair, the light on Chu Bojian's head was even more dazzling, looking like the braised eggs she had eaten in the morning.
Shen Xinran couldn't help it, so he stepped forward and patted Chu Bojian's head gently.
Chu Bojian's face suddenly darkened, "You're taking pictures of watermelons."
Shen Xinran noticed Chu Bojian's resistance and sighed, but before withdrawing his hand, he did not forget to pat him again.
Chu Bojian snorted coldly, "How much do you like me?" He actually touched his head twice in a row.
Shen Xinran pursed her lips into a straight line. She didn't like you. She liked everything that could glow, like that little black cat. Thinking of this, she asked Chu Bojian, "Have you seen a little black cat?"
Chu Bojian rolled his eyes and said unhappily, "I didn't see it."
Shen Xinran nodded disappointedly, "Okay then."
But what she didn't know was that the moment she turned around, the little black cat poked its head out from behind Chu Bojian, its eyes sparkling mysteriously in the sunlight.
That night, Chu Bojian woke up from his sleep and wanted to go to the bathroom. However, when he got out of bed, he was surprised to find that his room seemed to have become unusually spacious.
He looked at the mirror in a daze, and his expression suddenly froze, because what was reflected in the mirror was not his familiar face, but a black cat. But how could he turn into a black cat?
This must be a dream!
Chu Bojian stretched out his furry cat claws and slapped himself hard.
Hiss~ It hurts so fucking much!
As a staunch atheist, Chu Bojian now has to face the absurd reality that he has turned into a cat.
He rushed out of the room in a panic and ran down the street, his heart filled with confusion and fear. Wow wow wow, how did he become like this? Can he change back?
Just when he was crying uncontrollably, a familiar voice suddenly came from behind him: "I finally found you!"
Chu Bojian turned around suddenly and saw Shen Xinran. His heart tightened, fearing that she would see through him and treat him as a monster, so he stood there stiffly, not daring to move.
Shen Xinran excitedly held the black cat in her arms and smiled triumphantly. She was really smart. The little black cat glowed at night, so it was easier to find it at night.
When Shen Xinran returned home, the lights in He Baifeng's room were off, which meant she had fallen asleep.
She sneaked out, so she didn't dare make too much noise and walked very quietly.
But when she passed by the kitchen, she did not forget to pick up two small dried fish, which He Baifeng had just fried tonight because she saw that she liked to eat them.
