Chapter 505: Me and Eleven Others Fight for Love
As soon as Shen Xinran got into the car, her cell phone rang rapidly. She looked at the caller ID and saw it was Ms. He.
She pressed the answer button, and He Ying's voice immediately came from the other end of the phone: "Of course, I heard from Jiang Tong's mother that Jiang Tong gave birth to a child."
Shen Xinran leaned back in his chair and replied calmly, "I know. I just came out of the hospital."
He Ying sighed on the other end of the phone, "Jiang Tong has been a worrying child since she was young, and she even dared to get pregnant before marriage. Thinking about it this way, it's a good thing you didn't go on a blind date."
Shen Xinran glanced at Qi Sichen, who was concentrating on driving, and said cautiously, "Mom, I'm actually dating someone too."
He Ying's voice instantly rose two degrees, her voice full of surprise: "What did you say? Where are you now? I'll come to find you right away."
Shen Xinran answered truthfully: "I'm on my way back to the villa in Lanwan District."
"Then wait for me over there, I'll be there soon." After saying this, He Ying hung up the phone in a hurry.
Shen Xinran could only look at Qi Sichen and said helplessly: "My mother will be here soon, and my father will probably come too."
Qi Sichen's expression didn't change much. He responded calmly, "Okay, I'll ask the housekeeper to prepare the food in a moment."
It turned out that Shen Xinran knew his parents very well. Because not long after they arrived at the villa in Lanwan District, He Ying hurried over with Shen Huiming.
The two of them stopped at the gate of the villa and walked into the house in a hurry. But when they saw Qi Sichen, they were obviously stunned for a moment, "It's you."
Qi Sichen nodded with a polite smile, "Uncle and aunt are here, please come in."
Shen Huiming's gaze fell on the spot where there used to be a wall between Building A and Building B. He frowned and asked, "What's going on with this wall?"
Qi Sichen smiled easily and said, "I felt it was inconvenient to come here every day, so I had it removed."
Shen Xinran's gaze shifted between Qi Sichen and Shen Huiming, with a hint of curiosity, "Did you know each other before?"
Qi Sichen explained with a smile: "My uncle and aunt and I have had some business dealings, so we have met a few times."
He Ying simply glanced at Qi Sichen indifferently, then went straight up to the second floor and walked into the master bedroom. Her gaze mainly fell on the bathroom, "Are you already living together?"
Shen Xinran carefully observed He Ying's reaction and nodded slightly.
Unexpectedly, He Ying was not angry. She just said to Shen Xinran seriously: "I have only one request of you, and that is not to cause any death before we get married!"
Shen Xinran immediately nodded in agreement, "Okay, I understand."
It was almost noon when the housekeeper and servants brought the dishes over and the family of four sat around the dining table.
Qi Sichen took good care of Shen Xinran. He not only picked up food for Shen Xinran, but also peeled shrimp for her. "You didn't eat breakfast, you can eat more at noon."
However, Shen Huiming and He Ying did not seem to be in a good mood. They occasionally exchanged glances but rarely spoke. They seemed a little depressed throughout the meal.
After dinner, Shen Huiming pulled Shen Xinran aside and said in a low voice: "Ranran, do you really like Qi Sichen?"
Shen Xinran glanced at Qi Sichen who was still sitting on the sofa. Their eyes met in the air and she smiled and nodded, "I like it."
Shen Huiming frowned, wanting to speak but stopping himself, "But isn't he sick?"
Shen Xinran smiled and said, "It's fine now."
Shen Huiming breathed a sigh of relief, "In that case, Dad won't persuade you anymore, but if he bullies you, you must remember to tell Dad."
Shen Xinran smiled with her eyes curved, "Dad, don't worry. Qi Sichen treats me very well, and we will definitely be happy."
Shen Xinran stood at the door, watching Shen Huiming and He Ying leave. She didn't look at Qi Sichen until their car disappeared from her sight. "Why do I feel like there's something weird going on between you and my parents?"
Qi Sichen smiled and said, "It's not strange at all. You're overthinking it. Your uncle and aunt are just concerned about you."
Shen Xinran looked suspicious, "Really?"
Qi Sichen put his arm around Shen Xinran's waist and stared at her intently, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Ranran, let's get married!"
Shen Xinran raised her eyebrows slightly, "Why do you suddenly want to get married?"
Qi Sichen looked aggrieved, "I heard everything. Auntie told us not to get anyone killed before we get married."
Shen Xinran raised an eyebrow, "Just because of this?"
Qi Sichen smiled and said, "Because I can't wait to start a family with you and have a baby. I even thought of the baby's name."
Shen Xinran's curiosity was piqued, and she asked, "What's your name?"
Qi Sichen's eyes gleamed with tenderness: "If it's a boy, then we'll name him Qi Zeran. If it's a girl, then we'll name her Qi Yuexin."
