Chapter 12: The CEO's Substitute - The Crippled Man - Divorce
The sharp dagger flashed with a blinding light as it stabbed down towards Gu Shanshan.
Gu Shanshan had just been thrown to the ground, her hands braced against the floor. She had been seriously injured by splinters of wood from the overturned easel, with splinters embedded in her palms and blood flowing everywhere. She was too weak to lift her hands to stop the butler's knife.
Therefore, when the knife falls, one can only subconsciously close their eyes, fearful yet powerless, waiting for the pain to arrive.

The expected pain did not come, and Gu Shanshan opened her eyes.
They saw the butler being kicked and lying on the ground not far away.

Gu Shanshan was bewildered. She hadn't done anything wrong, so why was she being scolded again?
"go out!"
Upon hearing this, Gu Shanshan lowered her eyes sadly, leaning on her cane as she tried to get up. "I'm sorry, I'll leave now."
As soon as he stood up, he heard Gong Ye angrily rebuke him.
"I wasn't telling you to sit down!"
"ah?"
Ignoring Gu Shanshan's bewildered gaze, Gong Ye coldly ordered the butler, "Stand guard outside the door and do not allow anyone to approach the study."
The butler dared not disobey Gong Ye's orders and reluctantly left the study.
Only Gong Ye and Gu Shanshan remained in the room.
Gong Ye pressed down on Gu Shanshan's shoulders, lowered his eyes and commanded, "We're getting a divorce, this is the last time."
"What do you mean, the last time?" Gu Shanshan didn't understand.
"Break up and get dumped, you know?"
