Chapter 17: Master, You're Not Allowed to Escape—Kidnapped
His chin was forced up as he stared at the scene reflected in the mirror.
His apprentice, Gong Ye, stood behind him, his tall body encircling him tightly in his arms, leaning down to rest his chin on his shoulder.
She was dressed in a wedding gown, the intricate patterns of which clearly showed a lot of thought and effort had been put into its creation.
The two people in the mirror look strangely well-matched.
However, this is on the premise that one of the people in the group is not him.

Before Gu Shanshan could finish speaking, Gong Ye sternly stopped her.
Xiao Ling showed a hint of discomfort on her face and took two steps back, looking injured.
She lowered her head, looking aggrieved. "Young Master Gong, please don't be angry. It was Xiao Ling who overstepped her bounds and angered Master Gu."
Then, her voice choked with emotion, she apologized to Gu Shanshan, "Master Gu, I'm so sorry, I frightened you. If you don't want to see me, I'll leave now."
As she spoke, she raised her head, looked at Gong Ye with tears in her eyes, and gave him a sad but forced smile.
"Young Master Gong, I wish you and Master Gu a long and happy marriage."
After saying that, he turned and ran out.

Gong Ye watched as Xiao Ling ran away after being wronged, then turned and glared angrily at Gu Shanshan.
He spoke out fiercely, "Master, look what you've done!"
He spoke in a Hong Kong accent and rushed out.
Watching Gong Ye's cold and indifferent back, Gu Shanshan gripped the blanket on the bed tightly.
Seeing the red wedding dress she was still wearing made her feel even more ironic.
He muttered angrily, "Why would you marry me? I think you two are in love."
Meow~
Gu Shanshan had just finished eating when she heard a cat meow coming from the side.
Muttering to myself, "Where did this cat come from?"
She glanced over instinctively and saw a pure black cat wagging its tail and jumping onto Gu Shanshan's bed.
Gu Shanshan braced herself on the bed with both hands, crawled over, and picked up the black cat.
Petting the cat cheered him up a little, but only a tiny bit.
"Kitty, your owner is...?"
Gu Shanshan was holding the cat and talking to herself when she heard a thud from the window behind her.
He immediately shouted sharply, "Who...uh...uh..."
Gu Shanshan had just turned around when she hadn't even had a chance to see who had jumped in through the window.
His eyes came into contact with a piece of powder, which irritated them so much that he couldn't open them.
Immediately afterward, while he couldn't see, the person who came over took a cloth soaked in medicine and covered his mouth and nose.

Having inhaled too much medication, Gu Shanshan finally closed her eyes and completely lost consciousness, losing all awareness.
The man waited for a while until the person in his arms was completely still before slowly releasing the unconscious Gu Shanshan and leaning down to give her a tender kiss on the forehead.
"Wait a little longer. After tonight, after I kill that beast, we can be together forever."
After saying this, a gentle expression appeared on the man's face. He hoisted Gu Shanshan onto his shoulder and jumped out of the window...
