Chapter 18: The CEO's Keeper of His Little Lover - Wants to Escape

Chapter 18: The CEO's Keeper of His Little Lover - Wants to Escape

Unable to pretend to be asleep any longer, Gu Shanshan shifted her body, pretending to have just woken up.

I opened my eyes groggily and rubbed them.

Seeing herself being held by Gong Ye, she asked in a lazy, soft voice, "Gong Ye, when did you arrive? What were the doctor's test results?"

Those innocent, bewildered eyes looked like they had just woken up.

Gong Ye squinted and stared at Gu Shanshan for a few seconds.

His eyes were deep and unfathomable, and it was impossible to tell what he was thinking.

Gu Shanshan felt guilty under Gong Ye's gaze. He was very nervous, afraid that Gong Ye would realize that he had been faking it.

He asked, feigning confusion, "Gong Ye, what are you looking at? Is there something on my face?"

As he spoke, he touched his face a few times.

"No."

Gong Ye grabbed Gu Shanshan's hand and kissed it.

There's nothing there.

Gong Ye's eyes were terrifyingly deep.

The hand that was on Gu Shanshan's stomach was also withdrawn.

He breathed a barely perceptible sigh of relief.

Fortunately, Gong Ye did not suspect him.

"Honey, how are you feeling?"

Gong Ye asked Gu Shanshan in a hoarse voice, "Do you feel uncomfortable?"

Gu Shanshan quickly shook her head.

"I'm fine, I don't need to go to the hospital."

He feared that Gong Ye would disregard his safety and be unwilling to remove the relic from his body.

No matter how terrifying Gong Ye has become, Gu Shanshan still remembers how gently Gong Ye cared for her in the past.

He still remembers that he once liked Gong Ye.

Even if he leaves Gongye in the future and returns to the deep mountains and forests, never to see her again.

The only person he ever loved in his life was Gong Ye.

"Gong Ye, why do you look so strange?"

As Gu Shanshan spoke, she looked at Gong Ye with a wronged expression through her red eyes.

The emotions involved are a mix of truth and falsehood, and even Gu Shanshan herself might not be able to distinguish between them anymore.

Gong Ye's cold and hard heart stirred slightly.

It's completely gone.

The steel that has been tempered a hundred times can be turned into the softest thing, all because of a single glance from Gu Shanshan.

Gong Ye's gaze fell on Gu Shanshan's stomach, a strange light flashing in his eyes.

The only thing that can imprison Gu Shanshan now is the relic inside his body.

Gong Ye really didn't want to take it out.

"Sparkling, shall I take you somewhere?"

Gu Shanshan blinked in confusion; he hadn't left this room in a long time.

He was very excited when he heard Gong Ye say that he would take him out.

But he dared not show it; he could only desperately suppress his excitement and nod reservedly.

"OK."

Afraid that Gong Ye would suspect something, she snuggled into his arms again.

She said warmly, "Wherever you go, I'll go. As long as you're here, I'm willing to go anywhere."

These flattering words were exactly to Gong Ye's liking.

He felt that Gu Shanshan was like a dodder vine that had no opinions of its own, no ability to live independently, and could only cling to him.

He immediately rewarded Gu Shanshan with a kiss on the forehead and praised him, "Shanshan is such a good boy."

Gu Shanshan smiled shyly and obediently let Gong Ye hold her in his arms.

Only he knew how nervous and afraid he was when he pretended to be hypocritical in front of Gong Ye.

Gong Ye immediately called the butler in and ordered him to prepare the car.

As for the place they were going to, it was an unfamiliar place name.

Gu Shanshan listened, but didn't know where it was or what Gong Ye was taking her there for.

However, he was secretly pleased to be able to get out of the house and breathe some fresh air.

The butler prepared quickly and came up a moment later to inform them that they could depart.

Gu Shanshan was not allowed to walk on his own; he was held in Gong Ye's arms, with a blanket draped over him.

When Gong Ye carried Gu Shanshan out of the room, he lowered his head and stared intently at Gu Shanshan's small face, not missing a single expression on his face.

When he stepped out of the room, he didn't see any expression on Gu Shanshan's face.

Gu Shanshan's expression was calm as she nestled obediently in his arms, seemingly unaware that he had previously been forbidden from leaving his room.

Gong Ye's anxiety eased slightly.

......

After driving for more than an hour, the car finally stopped halfway up a mountain. When Gong Ye carried Gu Shanshan out of the car, the strong wind made her heart skip a beat.

This is halfway up the mountain near the sea cliffs, where you can clearly hear the sound of the sea breeze.

The air carried the salty, damp scent of the sea breeze, mixed with a faint fragrance of roses.

Gu Shanshan frowned slightly. Why were there roses here?

Before Gu Shanshan could clear up her doubts, she heard a man's low, husky voice.

Gong Ye carried Gu Shanshan and walked a few steps forward, stopping at a boundary marker.

She glanced around and said softly, "Sparkling, do you like it here?"

A cold sea breeze was blowing around us, and because it was in the shade, even during the day, a chilling atmosphere permeated the air.

To be honest, Gu Shanshan really disliked this place.

The atmosphere here made him feel inexplicably oppressed.

But clearly, he didn't dare say that.

I could only bite the bullet and say, "I like it."

Gong Ye was very satisfied with Gu Shanshan's answer and rewarded her with a kiss on the cheek.

"I like it very much too."

After saying that, she spoke again in a soft voice, "My dear Shanshan, believe me, you'll like the things inside even more."

Gu Shanshan wrapped the blanket around herself tighter and did not answer.

The butler was left behind to watch the car and did not follow.

Gong Ye carried Gu Shanshan for more than ten minutes until they reached an open area.

Along the way, all she saw were bright red roses in full bloom, and Gu Shanshan finally understood the origin of the rose's fragrance.

Looking at the crimson roses covering the ground, Gu Shanshan felt inexplicably oppressed and suffocated.

Gong Ye put Gu Shanshan down under a tall stone tablet, placed his hands on Gu Shanshan's shoulders, and made him look at the towering stone tablet in front of him.

Looking at the stone tablet and the wide-open stone door behind it, painted black, a low, cold voice spoke softly.

"Sweetie, go inside."

Gu Shanshan looked up at the tombstone in front of her, and swallowed nervously as she looked at the name on it.

He could clearly see what was written on the tombstone.

The inscription reads: "The Tomb of Gong Ye and His Beloved Wife Gu Shanshan."

Is this... his and Miya's grave?

Realizing this possibility, Gu Shanshan looked at the black stone door behind the tombstone and subconsciously turned around to run away.

But his body was pinned to the spot by Gong Ye, and he couldn't move at all, so how could he run away?

Gong Ye leaned down and whispered in Gu Shanshan's ear, his hoarse voice carrying a hint of coldness.

"Shanshan, don't you like our future home? I had people build it for a long time. Trust me, you'll like it once you go inside and see it."

As he spoke these words, Gong Ye couldn't control the surge of Yin energy, and the icy Yin energy enveloped and entangled Gu Shanshan.

Gu Shanshan had a mournful face, and her hands hanging at her sides were trembling.

He discovered that Gong Ye had become increasingly terrifying lately.

The dark stone door in front of him was like a cage containing a ferocious beast, waiting to devour him the moment he stepped inside.

He wanted to say he wouldn't go in, but when he opened his mouth, he couldn't make a sound.

Gong Ye smiled with satisfaction, "Good girl, not saying anything means you agree. I'll take you to see our future home now."

After speaking, he forcefully pushed Gu Shanshan into the dark tomb...
