Gu Shanshan was completely oblivious to Gong Ziyu's blatant gaze.
Gong Ziyu got into the car and bent down to help Gu Shanshan fasten her seatbelt.

Gong Ziyu smiled gently at Gu Shanshan, "I'm sorry, it was my oversight. If my cousin knew that I fastened your seatbelt, he would definitely be jealous, given his possessive nature."

His earnest expression was just like that of a good cousin speaking up for his older cousin.
Gu Shanshan was deceived, but she didn't want to tell Gong Ziyu too much about her and Gong Ye.

He asked awkwardly, "What kind of fragrance is this?"
"It's a kind of incense that can calm the mind. Someone gave it to me. I haven't tried it yet. I saw that you were restless, so I lit it to try and hopefully help you relax."
Gong Ziyu's innocent explanation.
"It smells very nice," Gu Shanshan said insincerely.
After all, it was Gong Ziyu's car. Gong Ziyu awkwardly helped him out of the predicament and even offered to take him home. Seeing that he wasn't feeling well, he specially lit incense to make him feel better.
Regardless of the fragrance, he should be grateful.
Upon hearing Gu Shanshan's words, Gong Ziyu smiled gently.
"I'm glad you like it."
This wasn't the first time he'd used this incense; he'd used it countless times, without exception, all to knock out people so he could 'get things done'.
He had already smelled the incense beforehand, so the incense would have no effect on him.
Gu Shanshan's rented house was far from here, and the two remained silent the whole way.

She cursed viciously, "You little bitch, is that all you did to seduce my cousin? You're shameless!"
