"What would you like to eat?" the steamed bun shop owner asked the two.
"Two bowls of wonton noodles, one without scallions," Shen Shi replied.
"It's so expensive, let's not eat it. After Yueyue wakes up..." Ji Beiqing said with a pained expression after glancing at the prices on the wall.
Looking at his wife's thin, sunken cheeks, Chen Shi became even more persistent.
"I eat steamed buns and porridge at home every day. It's fine if I eat it once. When I get back, I'll buy two big steamed buns for Yueyue. She loves them."
Knowing she couldn't persuade him, Ji Beiqing had no choice but to sit down.
“We can’t go on like this.” These were the first words she spoke after sitting down.
Chen Shi felt a sudden sense of dread; was he going to bring up divorce?
Thinking about his greasy, unattractive appearance, and then looking at his gentle and beautiful wife, Shen Shi felt it was highly likely.
"I think so too."
Fearing that Ji Beiqing would bring up divorce, Shen Shi quickly spoke up.

"What are you going to use to buy it? Do you even have the money?" Ji Beiqing hit the nail on the head, pointing out the crux of the problem.

"Renting a place?"
