This was the first meeting between Shen Shi and Lu Yuning. The children, who were brought by their parents to a banquet, all went to the garden out of boredom and ended up getting lost together.
When the two families arrived, the two children were holding hands, and Chen Shi was telling Lu Yuning the story of the Little Mermaid, which Lu Yuning listened to with great interest.

Lu Yuning raised her chin like a proud little peacock and said to Shen Shi, "I really like the gift. As for whether I forgive him or not, I'll have to see how he behaves."
"I guarantee you'll be satisfied," Shen Shi readily replied.
Lu Yuning nodded in satisfaction and took Chen Shi's arm as they walked into the venue.

The venue was like a small party, where celebrities from all walks of life gathered, and men and women dressed in their finest attire raised their glasses and drank together.
As soon as Shen Shi entered, arm in arm with Lu Yuning, they attracted everyone's attention.
"Wow! I didn't expect President Shen to be so handsome. He's even better looking than my idol."
"The rumor is that the young master of the Shen family doesn't like this Miss Lu. They seem quite close, don't they?"
