Chapter 155 The Original Female Lead Who Was Used as Cannon Fodder 5
Aside from the sofa against the wall, there was a large open space, seemingly used for practicing martial arts, as there was a weapon rack against the wall, filled with swords of various lengths.
Some of the blades still had dark red bloodstains on them.
It had a more lived-in feel than her room, though not by much.
The person living here must be the one who saved her.
Ruan Yunzhen searched as usual, but found no useful written traces, only a few sets of clothes to change into.
Since she couldn't find any useful information, Ruan Yunzhen didn't linger any longer.
She arrived at the gate, ready to do the same thing.
To everyone's surprise, the door opened easily with a gentle press of the doorknob.
It seems that the person living here is quite confident and arrogant, and doesn't care much about their residence.
In comparison, her 'collection' holds a greater place in this person's heart.
Without much hesitation, Ruan Yunzhen walked straight out the door.
The hallway outside the door is simpler than the luxurious interior.
The walls were painted in warm colors, and the floor was covered with smooth marble, spotless and clean, as if someone cleaned it regularly.
Ruan Yunzhen frowned slightly.
This is unlike him.
Could there be other people living here?
Ruan Yunzhen deliberately lightened her steps and wore comfortable sneakers, making her movements almost silent.
It has been more than a year since the apocalypse, and many facilities have long been shut down. The elevators have become useless. Fortunately, in addition to the elevators, there are still safety passages available.
Ruan Yunzhen arrived at the bottom of the stairs and slowly stepped down.
The stairwell was exceptionally quiet; even though she deliberately softened her steps, some faint sounds still escaped.
Without much hesitation, a pistol fitted with a silencer quietly appeared in his hand.
As soon as Ruan Yunzhen went down to the first floor, she saw a woman standing not far from the stairwell, secretly looking into the stairwell with a mixture of fear and curiosity in her expression.
Upon seeing Ruan Yunzhen, she was immediately surprised and stared at her blankly.
"You, you..."
Ruan Yunzhen raised her hand, pointing the gun steadily at the other person, and coldly questioned, "Don't move! Who are you? Why are you here?"
"I...you..." The woman stammered, clearly still in shock.
After a long while, she finally regained her senses: "You...you're actually awake?!"
Ruan Yunzhen narrowed her eyes slightly: "You know me?"
The woman realized she had said the wrong thing; a look of fear flashed in her eyes, and she shut her mouth, afraid to speak again.
Ruan Yunzhen approached, holding a pistol, and pressed it directly against the woman's forehead.
"explain!"
The voice was clear and melodious, yet extremely stern.
The woman lowered her eyes, not daring to look at her, and still didn't utter a single word.
"If you talk, you might still live. If you don't, I'll send you down right now. You'd better think it over carefully. Will you talk or not?"
As she spoke, Ruan Yunzhen was about to pull the trigger.
The woman magnified the slightest movement; her breath hitched, she tensed up visibly, her body trembled slightly, and fine beads of cold sweat appeared on her forehead.
She never imagined that someone with such a beautiful and ethereal appearance could be so decisive and ruthless.
The woman could tell that the other person wasn't joking.
If she remains silent, the other party will definitely shoot!
Ruan Yunzhen did not urge her any further, but simply hooked her fingers back little by little.
"Wait! I'll tell you, I'll tell you everything."
The imminent threat ultimately overwhelmed her other fear and apprehension, leading her to confess honestly.
