[The Prime Minister's Daughter Who Was Broken Engagement] The Emperor Reads the Storybook to Qingyao

The ministers immediately congratulated the emperor. This was the third time they saw the emperor smile, and all three times were because of the queen. It seemed that the queen was undoubtedly the emperor's true love. No one would frown at the emperor at this moment. They all waited quietly for the court to end. When the emperor saw that everyone was fine, he announced the end of the court. He wanted to rush back to see Qingyao and the child.

When the Emperor hurried back to his chambers, he found Qingyao just waking from her sleep. She was sitting at the table, savoring a delicate dessert with relish. Seeing the Emperor appear at the door, Qingyao hurriedly put down her spoon and stood to greet him.

The Emperor swiftly stepped forward, firmly grasping Qingyao's flustered hands, and then gently led her to sit down. A shrewd servant nearby immediately understood what he meant and quickly set the table before the Emperor. The Emperor smiled slightly in approval, then joined Qingyao in enjoying the delicious meal.

After dinner, the Emperor and Qingyao strolled side by side through the Imperial Gardens. A gentle breeze carried the fragrance of flowers, and they whispered and laughed, occasionally pausing to admire the garden's exotic blossoms and plants. Before they knew it, they had circled the garden once before returning hand in hand to their chambers.

Upon entering the bedroom, the Emperor gently waved his hand, signaling the servants to leave for the time being. After everyone left, he personally fetched warm water and carefully helped Qingyao wash up. After Qingyao finished washing up, the Emperor hurriedly washed up briefly, then hurried back to the bedside to accompany Qingyao.

Qingyao lay on her side, her beautiful eyes fixed on the Emperor. She whispered, "Emperor, please read me a storybook." She reached out a delicate hand and tugged at the Emperor's sleeve. The Emperor cast a doting glance at Qingyao, then reluctantly picked up a book beside his pillow. Clearing his throat, he began to read: "Mr. Chen gracefully approached Miss Su and softly said, 'Miss Su, this beautiful flower I have prepared especially for you. Do you like it?'..."

As the Emperor read, he couldn't help but mutter to himself: What kind of a mess is this? Such a vulgar plot, won't it lead my Qing'er astray? He was about to say something, but when his eyes met Qingyao's expectant eyes, all the words he wanted to complain were instantly swallowed back. Forget it, as long as Qing'er likes to listen, then continue reading. So, the Emperor had no choice but to bite the bullet and continue reading: "Miss Su nodded slightly, her face showing shyness, and she replied softly..."

Seeing Qingyao fall asleep, the Emperor put down the book, kissed Qingyao's forehead lovingly, and then fell asleep happily holding her.
