Time passed by minute by minute, and every tick was like a countdown to death. Finally, there was a chaotic sound of footsteps outside the box. Reinforcements had arrived. Everyone stood up as if they had grabbed a life-saving straw, but their faces were still tense.
The door of the box was suddenly pushed open, and a group of people swarmed in. They were all dressed in exquisitely tailored suits, with steady and powerful steps, and their every move showed maturity and stability. They were undoubtedly the older brothers of the young people in the box and the future leaders of the family.
Qingyao raised her eyes slightly, her eyes as sharp as torches, scanning these uninvited guests one by one. Among the crowd, there were several people with handsome faces. Their deep eyes revealed the shrewdness and competence of many years of business experience. Under their high noses, their thin lips were tightly pursed, and the lines of their faces were firm.
The leading family heir took a step forward. His eyes were deep and sharp. He tried to compete with Qingyao in momentum and spoke first: "Miss Qing, isn't it a bit too much to make such a big fuss? Our family is quite prestigious in this city. Aren't you afraid of making enemies by acting like this?" His voice was low and powerful. Although there was a hint of temptation in his words, there was also a hint of threat.
Qingyao raised her eyebrows slightly, a faint sneer curling up at the corner of her mouth: "Prestige? In my opinion, it's nothing more than that. If you really have the ability, you should discipline your own children well, why not let them control their mouths."
Another heir continued, "Miss Qing, you have misunderstood. Young people are reckless and act rashly. We will discipline them properly. Please be merciful, Miss Qing, and let them go this time. We are willing to compensate them." His attitude seemed sincere, but in fact he was scheming.
Qingyao remained unmoved, her eyes growing colder. "Compensation? Do you think I'm short of money? What happened tonight has crossed my bottom line. I gave them a chance, but they didn't know how to cherish it."
After saying this, she stood up, her posture straight and her aura fully open, "If you are wise, don't stop it, otherwise, the consequences will not be something you can bear."
Qingyao moved lightly with lotus steps, she stood still, an inexplicable thought flashed in her eyes, and she opened her red lips: "Forget it, all of you go away." Although the voice was not loud, it revealed unquestionable majesty.
Those people in the box who were previously panicking were stunned when they heard this, as if they couldn't believe their ears.
Then, their eyes all turned to their brothers, their eyes full of inquiry and dependence. The brothers nodded slightly, indicating that they should obey Qingyao's instructions.
In an instant, these people stood up hurriedly as if they had been pardoned, and the chairs made a harsh sound as they rubbed against the ground.
They staggered and rushed towards the box door, some even pushing each other, completely losing their usual composure.
In a moment, only Qingyao and the family heirs were left in the box, and the atmosphere became more subtle and solemn.
Qingyao lazily sat back on the sofa, leaning her whole body back, her posture like a cheetah taking a temporary rest but still dangerous. She raised her chin slightly, a cold light flashed in her eyes, and her invisible aura spread out like surging waves, instantly filling the entire box.
"Let's change the rules. Let's compare the size, two out of three. If I win, I want him to stay with me for one night." After that, she raised her slender white fingers straight up, like a sharp sword drawn from its sheath, pointing accurately at the man who had just taken the lead. "I lost, how about I pay you five hundred million?" Her voice was crisp and cold, echoing in the silent box. Every word was like a blockbuster bomb, shocking everyone present and making them look at each other. For a moment, no one dared to answer easily.
When everyone heard Qingyao's words, they had different expressions on their faces, some were surprised, some were hesitant. The leading man who was pointed at by Qingyao frowned slightly, and a trace of imperceptible anger flashed in his eyes, but he regained his composure in an instant.
He stared at Qingyao, trying to find out the truth from her expression. After a moment, he slowly said, "Miss Qingyao, the stakes are not small. Why did you choose me?" His voice was steady, with a hint of inquiry.
Qingyao sneered: "There is no special reason, it's just to see how much courage you have, or are you afraid?" Her words were like a thorn in the back, which made the man's heart tremble.
A family heir nearby whispered, "Miss Qingyao, this bet may seem simple, but it also has a strange ring to it. How can we easily agree to it?"
Qingyao glanced at him with disdain: "Why, your family once dominated the city, but now you don't even have this much courage? Or do you think I, Qingyao, would go back on my word?"
For a moment, the box fell into silence, and the atmosphere became increasingly tense. After a long while, the leading man finally made up his mind: "Okay, Miss Qing, since you are so interested, we will play this game with you."
Qingyao's lips curled up slightly, as if everything was within her expectations. She waved her hand gently, signaling the waiter to bring the cards. A new game was about to begin.
The waiter quickly brought the cards to the table, and the brand new cards glowed dimly under the ambiguous light in the box.
Qingyao sat up slightly, her eyes fixed on the cards like cold stars. Her fingers rested lightly on the edge of the card box, but she was not in a hurry to open it. Instead, she looked at the people opposite with a half-smile.
Qingyao said softly: "Everyone, please!"
Seeing this, everyone said, "Miss Qingyao, please go first!"
Qingyao raised her eyebrows slightly, said no more, slowly opened the card box, and drew the first card. Her movements were elegant and calm, as if she was not making a thrilling gamble, but an insignificant game. She gently placed the cards on the table, her eyes never leaving her opponent.
