Jiang Tian didn't speak, and still looked a little nervous.
Wei Jingshen could understand.
The elderly woman that Jiang Tian was taking care of was about the same age as her grandmother. This type of person had given Jiang Tian warmth in the past, and she was subconsciously afraid that she would not play Zhou Xiaoxiao well and would make the elderly woman sad.
As if by some strange twist of fate, Wei Jingshen grasped Jiang Tian's hand and, under Jiang Tian's somewhat surprised gaze, led her inside.
"Grandma, I've brought...my fiancée to see you."
Wei Jingshen did not mention Zhou Xiaoxiao's name.
His grandmother's memory has been failing for a long time, and she usually calls Zhou Xiaoxiao her granddaughter-in-law.
Hearing his grandson's voice, the old man, who was sitting in a wheelchair facing the window and basking in the sun, turned around.
The old woman had a very kind face and looked like a gentle old lady.
Her eyesight was indeed failing. She reached out and grabbed at the air, calling out to Wei Jingshen, "Jingshen, bring your granddaughter-in-law over here, I can't see clearly."
Wei Jingshen did not refuse and quickly led Jiang Tian over.
"Hello, Grandma." Jiang Tian was unusually gentle.
The old man paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "Good boy, I'm so glad you came to see this old woman."
The way Jiang Tian got along with the old man was beyond Wei Jingshen's expectations.
They'll get along well together very quickly.
The old man asked Jiang Tian what her hobbies were, and Jiang Tian gave the usual answer that she liked reading. Then the old man instructed Wei Jingshen to take Jiang Tian to the study when he had time.
She has such a good temper, she's not arrogant at all.
Jiang Tian was a little flustered at first, but she gradually became more natural.
She quietly did some of the small, insignificant things for the elderly.
The blanket on the old woman's knees was about to fall off, so she silently pulled it up a little.
Before Grandma could even say she wanted some water, Jiang Tian stood up and poured her a glass of warm water.
"My granddaughter-in-law is so good to me. You should treat her well and bring her to see me more often."
The old woman's health was not good, and they couldn't stay too long, Grandma said to Wei Jingshen before leaving.
"Don't worry, I will treat her well."
After leaving the old house, Wei Jingshen said to Jiang Tian, who was standing beside him, "You did a great job."
After leaving the house, Jiang Tian resumed her cold expression.
Jiang Tian didn't say much in response to his praise, only uttering three words: "It's my duty."
Wei Jingshen was used to her aloofness and didn't get angry.
After thinking for a moment, he suddenly asked, "What are your hobbies?"
Jiang Tian shook her head: "I don't like anything."
When Wei Jingshen saw her, he felt an inexplicable urge to treat her better.
"Then tell me, what do you want to do now?"
Wei Jingshen spoke again.
Jiang Tian finally reacted: "I want to go see Grandma Zhao."
"Um."
After giving a brief reply, Wei Jingshen drove for an hour to take Jiang Tian to that hospital.
After leaving the hospital, Jiang Tian's eyes finally regained some liveliness.
After getting into the car, it was already dinnertime. Wei Jingshen asked her, "Is there anything you'd like to eat?"
His answer was, as always, a shake of the head.
"Would you like to eat at a restaurant or go back?"
Jiang Tian hesitated for a moment, then said to him, "Sir, you don't need to consider my thoughts. I am very grateful for your care, but it's all unnecessary. I promised you, and I won't run away or break my promise. I will definitely finish what I have to do."
Wei Jingshen's expression was indifferent, revealing neither joy nor anger.
He simply said, "Don't call me 'sir.' I have a name, Wei Jingshen. You can call me by my full name or without my surname."
Jiang Tian refused: "We have a different status. May I continue to call you 'sir'?"
"Can't."
Wei Jingshen looked at her with a somewhat forceful expression: "If you want to obey my orders, then from now on you can call me Wei Jingshen, or Jingshen, either is fine."
Jiang Tian fell silent. This time, she nodded slowly, clearly not understanding why her employer had so many strange quirks.
"Since you don't know what to choose, let's go to a restaurant for dinner."
Wei Jingshen and Jiang Tian ate medicinal cuisine.
Her face was too pale; a healthy person's face wouldn't be completely bloodless.
The traditional Chinese medicine doctor also told him that Jiang Tian had been suffering from qi and blood deficiency for many years, and that he should try to supplement his diet with food.
Wei Jingshen also brought back some traditional Chinese medicine, but he hasn't had a chance to tell Jiang Tian yet.
The meal was rather bland, but very delicious. Jiang Tian finished eating with a blank expression, and Wei Jingshen couldn't tell whether she liked it or not.
After spending some time together, he realized that if he didn't ask, he would never know what Jiang Tian liked or disliked.
So he asked her again, "How was the meal? Did you like it?"
"like."
"You can come back to eat here again next time?"
"good."
Wei Jingshen stared into her eyes, his tone slightly heavy: "Do you really like her or are you just pretending?"
"I really like it."
“If you lie to me, I have many ways to deal with you.”
Even Wei Jingshen found these words somewhat absurd.
He even threatened her in order to find out what this woman liked.
"I really like it."
Jiang Tian's answer was brief, but it hit the nail on the head.
Wei Jingshen stared at her for a while before letting her go.
After the two returned, Wei Jingshen told her to rest, while he went into the kitchen to work on the medicinal herbs he had brought back.
His family has a deep understanding of traditional culture, and he has also gained some knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine since childhood, so preparing medicine is naturally no problem for him.
