Cheng Yanzheng felt like he wasn't even human anymore.
Like a hungry beast that has been starving for days, once it finds its own sweetness, it can no longer control itself.
He used all his strength to savor that sweetness.
Most importantly—Jiang Tian did not refuse.
When he kissed her, she paused for only a second, then placed her hands on his back, letting him do as he pleased.
Her encouragement brought tears to Cheng Yanzheng's eyes.
He was increasingly losing control of himself.
Cheng Yanzheng's palms were a bit rough, and he was afraid of hurting her delicate skin when he touched them.
But the wonderful sensation made it impossible for him to stop.
Gradually, he began to unconsciously tear at her clothes, even wanting to rip them to shreds!
Alcohol amplified his impulsive side, which he couldn't control.
The night was already deep.
The night sky outside is dazzling.
The room was brightly lit and very warm.
Cheng Yanzheng's forehead was covered in sweat.
At the most crucial moment, Jiang Tian gently took his hand.
"That's enough, we can't go any further—"
Jiang Tian had disheveled hair and alluring red lips; she was incredibly seductive.
Despite her cool and aloof appearance, she now possesses an indescribable allure.
But she still stopped him.
Cheng Yanzheng suddenly raised his head and met her gaze.
Jiang Tian's eyes finally warmed up, no longer as cold as before.
She smiled at him and said three words: "Stop."
Those surging emotions were awkwardly suppressed by Cheng Yanzheng under her gaze.
After an unknown amount of time, Cheng Yanzheng slowly withdrew his hand.
That incredibly slender, snow-white waist was once again covered by the black base layer.
As if he had been doused with a bucket of cold water, Cheng Yanzheng staggered to his feet.
He doesn't understand the current situation.
But he knew he had to deal with it.
As if deliberately avoiding the issue, Cheng Yanzheng stood up and said, "I'm going to the restroom."
Jiang Tian's eyes were still veiled in a thin mist, making her look both charming and alluring.
"Let's go, I'll go with you."
Cheng Yanzheng's mind was already in a tangled mess, and it became even more unresolved.
He frowned at her: "No need."
Jiang Tian glanced around, then smiled and said, "I guess you still need it..."
Before Cheng Yanzheng could understand what she was trying to say, he followed her into the bathroom, somewhat bewildered.
It might have been an hour, or it might have taken longer, before the two finally emerged.
Jiang Tian rubbed her wrist: "I'm very tired right now. Tonight was too chaotic. We can talk about our things tomorrow."
As she spoke, she walked upstairs with somewhat languid steps.
Fortunately, tomorrow is the weekend, so there's no need to worry about it interfering with work.
Cheng Yanzheng still felt like he was walking on clouds; the fireworks in his mind hadn't completely stopped.
Jiang Tian had already left.
When he returned to his room, closed the door, and lay down in a daze.
What... exactly did she mean?
Cheng Yanzheng felt even more agitated when he recalled that sweetness and that intoxicating taste.
He slept very poorly all night, remaining in a semi-conscious state.
Jiang Tian said they would talk again the next day, but he had no idea what they would talk about.
He was even more unclear about their current relationship.
At 11 a.m., Jiang Tian finally came downstairs.
Cheng Yanzheng sat there waiting for her for more than two hours.
Do you want to eat?
Cheng Yanzheng looked very uncomfortable as he watched her come downstairs.
He almost reflexively uttered the most common question he had ever asked her.
Jiang Tian rubbed her forehead and smiled at him: "I just want a bowl of porridge."
Cheng Yanzheng stood up and served her a bowl of porridge.
Jiang Tian slowly drank a few sips, finally put down the bowl, and looked directly into his eyes.
Cheng Yanzheng's breathing became lighter; he knew that his trial was about to begin.
"What happened last night was an accident."
Cheng Yanzheng's heart sank.
Jiang Tian rested her chin on her hand and looked at him: "I can't resist your temptation. We are both mature men and women, so I don't think it's unreasonable for things to happen occasionally."
Cheng Yanzheng didn't respond; he didn't know what to say.
"However, I admit, you tempted me. Our relationship isn't suitable for getting too complicated right now; it's better if we both forget about it."
Cheng Yanzheng's heart had turned completely cold.
He didn't speak, he just sat there, as if he had exhausted all his strength.
Jiang Tian took another sip of porridge before looking at him again: "But I admit that at one point, you touched me. Perhaps you yourself don't realize that we have many similarities, yet we've taken completely different paths. You didn't stray because of the trauma from your family, and you've maintained your integrity to this day, which I admire."
"I haven't been in a relationship for many years, and I don't want to go through complicated processes to get to know someone, understand them, and judge whether they're suitable as a romantic partner, wasting so much time and energy. But—"
Cheng Yanzheng couldn't help but look at her.
“I can tell you’ve developed feelings for me. These feelings might be fleeting, or they might last a long time… The most important thing in life is to have no regrets. If you don’t mind that this relationship ends after I go abroad while I’m in China, we can try dating.”
Jiang Tian's tone was still very serious.
