Jiang Tian didn't look at him, nor did she respond.
Xiao Sheng didn't say anything more. He stretched out his arms, wanting to carry Jiang Tian out.
Now that she's alone, he's already worried about her.
However, Jiang Tian suddenly struggled, her hair disheveled, and she looked at Xiao Sheng as if he were a demon: "Don't touch me!"
His voice conveyed a deep sense of disgust.
Xiao Sheng froze on the spot, looking at Jiang Tian in disbelief: "You hate me?"
Jiang Tian did not answer, but curled up in the corner, her face growing paler.
Xiao Sheng felt as if a sword had been plunged into his heart, drawing blood.
During the time Wei Yunting spent with her, he didn't even dare to look at her, but unexpectedly, he was met with her disgust.
Xiao Sheng forced a smile, trying to calm himself, before saying, "Come back with me, I won't touch you."
Jiang Tian turned a deaf ear.
“I’m worried about you being here alone. I promise I won’t make things difficult for you when we get back.”
Xiao Sheng continued to patiently persuade her, abandoning his self-reference as "I" in order to lower his status and make Jiang Tian less resistant to him.
However, it was a long time before he heard Jiang Tian's voice.
"Your Majesty, please go back. My affairs are none of your concern. Wei Yunting is dead, and it is only right that I should be buried with him. I hope Your Majesty can let me go and stop bothering me."
He wanted to save her, but she saw it as harassment.
Xiao Sheng felt a pang of sadness.
But he had to win Jiang Tian back; she was only in her twenties and should live a good life.
"If Wei Yunting knew that you died with him, he wouldn't be at peace even as a ghost."
Upon hearing the name Wei Yunting, Xiao Sheng noticed that Jiang Tian finally reacted.
She remained silent for a long time before saying, "I've told him that I can't live a happy life without his protection. I might as well stay with him and maybe we can be reincarnated together."
Her tone softened naturally.
Xiao Sheng looked at her, and in her words, it seemed that being with Wei Yunting meant that even death was nothing to fear.
A bitter feeling welled up in his heart.
“During our conversation, he entrusted you to me…”
Xiao Sheng repeated Wei Yunting's words word by word.
Jiang Tian listened intently.
After he finished speaking, Jiang Tian actually laughed: "He's always like this, always thinking I'm still a little girl, and always worrying about me."
“You must listen to him.” Xiao Sheng’s tone was stiff.
But Jiang Tian shook her head: "I have never listened to him, and I still do. If Your Majesty truly understands me, then let us be buried together as I have said."
Xiao Sheng's voice was filled with suppressed anger: "You've made up your mind to die with him?"
Jiang Tian nodded: "Yes."
Xiao Sheng laughed, but his smile held a chill: "Jiang Tian, there's no need to say you didn't see my feelings for you. As long as I'm here, you won't die."
Then, to Jiang Tian's astonishment, he pressed her pressure points and picked her up in his arms.
The carriage outside is ready.
With a cold expression, Xiao Sheng covered Jiang Tian with his cloak and carried her into the carriage.
"Enter the palace."
"As you command."
By the time they arrived at the palace, half an hour had already passed.
Xiao Sheng carried Jiang Tian straight into his bedroom.
After all the palace servants had left, Xiao Sheng activated Jiang Tian's acupoints.
"If you dare to commit suicide, I will destroy Wei Yunting's body."
The instant the pressure points were released from Jiang Tian's body, Xiao Sheng grabbed her chin, preventing her from biting her tongue and committing suicide.
His cold threat finally brought anger to Jiang Tian's eyes.
"What are you going to do?" Jiang Tian asked him.
Xiao Sheng gently touched Jiang Tian's face with his fingers: "Wei Yunting asked me to take care of you, but I can't think of a good way. From now on, you will be my empress."
