Jiang Tian shook her head and smiled, "It's okay."
Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Li Xiu took Jiang Tian's hand and left the wedding banquet despite the host's calls.
Once back in the car, Li Xiu looked at Jiang Tian, who had a calm expression, and sincerely apologized to her: "I'm sorry, I was too arrogant."
He took his position and role too seriously, causing Jiang Tian to suffer as a result.
Jiang Tian looked at him with some surprise. Seeing that he was indeed feeling guilty, Li Xiu saw Jiang Tian's first genuine smile of the night.

Li Xiu first took Jiang Tian back to her apartment.

When they arrived at the hospital, Li Xiu learned that Jiang Tian's fainting was due to a sudden onset of stomach problems.
Her long-term irregular eating habits, coupled with her already weak health and lack of food at night... all these factors combined to eventually cause her to faint.
Li Xiu didn't hire a caregiver; he stayed with Jiang Tian at the hospital himself.
His insomnia is severe; it wouldn't be difficult for him to go a day and a night without sleep.
Jiang Tian woke up at noon the next day.
As soon as she moved, Li Xiu's gaze became tense: "Don't move around, you're still on an IV drip."
Jiang Tian slowly opened her eyes, her lips were even white.
It took her a while to speak: "Thank you..."
Thank you again.
For some reason, Li Xiu didn't want to hear those two words.
But he did not refute it; he simply explained Jiang Tian's condition to her.

Jiang Tian forced a smile: "I'm sorry, I made you laugh. To save money, I..."
Hearing this absurd yet reasonable answer, Li Xiu became somewhat angry.
He suddenly remembered that he had never given Jiang Tian money because he didn't want her to think he was keeping her as a mistress.
The place she lived in, and the fact that Li Xiu made her his female companion, also prevented her from going to work.
Without money, she couldn't even afford the most basic necessities like food and clothing.
He didn't send anyone to deliver food to Jiang Tian, so she had to cut back on her food supplies.
Li Xiu felt a pang of regret; he had actually overlooked something so important.
If it weren't for him, Jiang Tian would never have ended up in the hospital.
Looking at Jiang Tian, Li Xiu's eyes gradually hardened: "After you are discharged from the hospital... come back to the villa with me. I'm sorry that my oversight caused you to be hospitalized, and I want to take care of you myself."
Jiang Tian didn't give him an answer immediately, but looked at him with a curious gaze.
