Li Xiu thought he had planted a deadly seed that might take his life the moment it ripened.
I never imagined that what I planted would be a strawberry plant, which tastes sweet and sour and is also filling.
He stared at Jiang Tian for a long time, his heart pounding faster for the person in front of him.
But he had another relapse.
Even though Jiang Tian's explanation sounded so convincing, he still couldn't completely believe it.
His deep eyes were fixed on Jiang Tian: "Is everything you said true? Are you just trying to comfort me?"
Jiang Tian seemed used to his frequent fits of illness. She nodded and said, "Why would I lie to you?"
“You know better than I do that if it’s just about money, I have no reason to associate with you.”
Jiang Tian touched Li Xiu's lips with her hand. The spot where she had bitten him was bleeding, making his lips look somewhat crimson.
At this moment, Li Xiu exuded an indescribable air of wickedness.
However, Jiang Tian showed no fear. Instead, she carefully spread the blood on Li Xiu's lips with her fingers, observed it for a while, and nodded in satisfaction.
The slight pain meant nothing to Li Xiu, who continued to stare at Jiang Tian without even blinking.
"So, if I'm honest with you, can I do whatever I want to you?"
Li Xiu's tone was heavy; only he knew what he was asking.
“You could have done anything to me, as long as you didn’t focus your attention on other people.”
Jiang Tian answered him.
Li Xiu still couldn't completely put his mind at ease.
He nodded slowly, said nothing else, fastened Jiang Tian's seatbelt, and carefully and safely brought her back to their villa.
The more excited he was, the less Li Xiu wanted to make any mistakes.
People with unstable emotions are prone to doing irrational things when they are excited, so he is definitely an exception.
The more unstable the situation, the more rational he becomes.
Because he couldn't stand other mistakes affecting his plans.
On the way from the underground parking lot to the villa, Li Xiu held Jiang Tian's hand tightly, not letting go for even a second.
But when they reached the villa's entrance, Li Xiu stopped.
His dark eyes held a deep meaning: "Are you sure you want to go in?"
He was hinting at something to her.
If she goes in, she might not have a chance to get out.
Jiang Tian pretended not to understand his hint and unlocked the door with her fingerprint: "Why aren't we going in? It's cold outside, and I'm wearing very thin clothes."
Jiang Tian didn't even blink before leading Li Xiu into the villa.
Then, Jiang Tian watched as Li Xiu did something to the door. It looked unchanged, but no one but Li Xiu could open it.
Everything happened right under Jiang Tian's nose.
Jiang Tian seemed unaware of everything Li Xiu had done to her. She sat down on the sofa and stretched out her foot to Li Xiu, saying, "Take off my shoes."
Li Xiu was still standing there, considering which step to take first.
Upon hearing Jiang Tian's command, he instinctively went over and, as usual, half-squatted down to carefully take off Jiang Tian's shoes.
Then he took out the slippers in Jiang Tian's favorite color, held her delicate feet, and carefully put them on for her.
After dressing her, a dark cloud settled over Li Xiu's eyes again.
He stared at Jiang Tian's face, his eyes deep and unfathomable, as if he were not human.
However, Jiang Tian spoke again. She rubbed her stomach and casually reached out a hand to pull Li Xiu's hand onto her stomach.
I'm hungry.
With just two words, Li Xiu felt as if a controlled robot had been freed from its restraints, and subconsciously touched Jiang Tian's stomach.
It was indeed empty.
Li Xiu frowned and subconsciously asked, "What do you want to eat?"
Jiang Tian yawned and winked at him: "Is spaghetti okay?"
Li Xiu nodded immediately. He thought for a moment, then took out a thin blanket to cover Jiang Tian and let her rest first. Then he rolled up his sleeves, washed his hands, and went to cook.
By the time he finished cooking, Jiang Tian was already asleep.
Looking at her peaceful sleeping face, Li Xiu's dark thoughts began to grow wildly again.
Immediately, Jiang Tian seemed to sense his gaze, her eyelashes trembled slightly, and she opened her eyes in a daze.
She may not have slept very soundly, for her voice was slightly dazed and hoarse: "Is dinner ready?"
In the blink of an eye, the dark look in Li Xiu's eyes vanished. He nodded and touched Jiang Tian's forehead.
Jiang Tian's voice sounded off, and he was a little worried that she was sick.
Fortunately, the temperature was normal.
"I don't want to walk anymore, carry me there."
Jiang Tian reached out her hand to him.
Without a word, Li Xiu easily picked her up.
He liked that she depended on him.
He gently placed Jiang Tian on the chair next to the dining table.
Jiang Tian seemed really hungry. Li Xiu handed her chopsticks, and she started eating, eating faster than before.
"Li Xiu, your cooking skills are getting better and better."
Jiang Tian praised him.
Her long hair seemed to be affecting her performance, so she ate while tucking her hair under her hand.
Li Xiu had been watching her eat with a blank expression, but seeing how much effort she was putting into it, he stood up, found a hair tie, walked behind Jiang Tian, and gently tied her hair up.
Seeing that Jiang Tian's hands were free, Li Xiu silently sat back down opposite her.
Jiang Tian ate half of it and said to him, "I can't eat anymore."
Li Xiu understood and was about to tidy up when he heard Jiang Tian ask, "Have you eaten?"
Li Xiu didn't even drink a drop of water today, let alone eat.
His silence says it all.
"Have you cooked for yourself?"
Li Xiu looked at Jiang Tian quietly, without saying a word.
Jiang Tian's expression was a little bad. She crossed her arms, stuck out one foot, and, ignoring that her slipper had fallen off, gently kicked his calf with her foot: "Sit next to me."
Li Xiu was puzzled, but he still obediently sat down.
Jiang Tian's presence enveloped him, and he didn't understand what she wanted to do.
Then Jiang Tian placed the half-bowl of noodles she had left in front of him: "Since you won't cook for yourself, then eat my leftovers."
Jiang Tian deliberately raised her chin and said to him.
Li Xiu glanced at her silently, and finally managed to say a few words: "I'm not hungry."
"You have to eat even if you're not hungry, otherwise how will you have the energy later?"
