Duan Muqing was speechless for a moment.
His dad has been very strict with him lately; he has to clock in and out of get off work.
He finally managed to go home early to rest, but his mother kicked him out again.
However, after calculating, he realized that he hadn't seen Jiang Tian for several days.
Duan Muqing thought for a moment and decided to go pick her up, since he was her boyfriend and not a stranger.
These past few days, he met with Jiang Tian, but they didn't exchange more than a few words.
Since confirming their relationship, both of them have been quite busy. Jiang Tian's coffee shop is expanding, and he has a lot of things to do at his company. They have to make time to talk on the phone, let alone talk about love.
However, Duan Muqing believed that the two of them got along relatively well.
At least he didn't feel any resistance because he suddenly had a girlfriend.
It's raining, but he's still here to pick people up.
When he opened the car door and opened the umbrella, he saw Jiang Tian waiting at the door.
Duan Muqing was somewhat surprised and took a few quick steps forward.
Jiang Tian quickly came down the steps and hid under the umbrella with him.
Under the heavy rain, both of them would inevitably get splashed with some raindrops.
Duan Muqing asked curiously, "Why did you come out? I was just about to call you."
Jiang Tian's eyes sparkled with laughter: "Because I've calculated that you should come pick me up from get off work."
Duan Muqing chuckled and shook his head. This woman actually knew how to joke.
However, he strangely felt a sense of pleasure.
Seeing Jiang Tian waiting for him under the eaves in the rain, Duan Muqing unconsciously memorized the scene, finding it quite interesting.
When the two got into the car, Jiang Tian's hair was a little wet.
Although it wasn't very serious, Duan Muqing still handed her a towel: "Wipe it off."
"Thanks."
Jiang Tian took it and carefully wiped her hair.
With nothing to do and the outside world shrouded in rain, Duan Muqing focused intently on watching Jiang Tian dry her hair.
Jiang Tian was fair all over, especially her face, which was snow-white and flawless. Her jet-black hair contrasted with her bright red lips, revealing a hint of allure even under the shield of rain.
Duan Muqing discovered that her face was incredibly versatile. When she was dignified, she reminded people of a noble lady from ancient times, but when she revealed even a little bit of her vibrant energy, she could easily draw people closer.
Why are you staring at me? Is there something dirty on my face?
Duan Muqing was lost in thought when Jiang Tian called him, bringing him back to his senses.
"Zhou Yuncheng really doesn't know what's good for you. Luckily, he has bad eyesight, otherwise you would have been ruined by him for the rest of your life."
Jiang Tian blinked: "We're still just ordinary friends. It's not something a gentleman would do to badmouth another friend of hers in front of a friend."
Duan Muqing was amused by her: "What's wrong with being a friend? If you're so capable, then tell him what I'm complaining about."
Jiang Tian didn't respond to his question, but instead asked him, "Are you going to take me home?"
"Of course, otherwise why would I have come all this way?"
"The rain is so heavy, the visibility is too low, let's wait a bit before we go."
Jiang Tian suggested.
Duan Muqing looked at the torrential rain outside and thought it made sense: "Alright then, let's wait a while."
After a while, he realized what he meant: "Then why didn't we wait in your coffee shop? It must have been so cramped in that little car."
"Of course it's because I guessed you would come and didn't want to disappoint you, so I waited for you at the door. I didn't expect it to rain so hard. If I had known, I would have sent you a message and asked you to come to the store to pick me up."
Jiang Tian explained her plans truthfully.
Upon hearing this, Duan Muqing couldn't quite describe her feelings.
If Jiang Tian wasn't waiting for him there, would he be disappointed? Duan Muqing said he didn't know either.
But he had to admit that when he drove through the heavy rain to her café and saw her for the first time, he was in a great mood.
So he didn't refute Jiang Tian's words.
The two took shelter from the rain in the car for a while. Fortunately, the rain stopped soon enough, and they left quickly.
My parents would like to invite you to dinner another day, do you have time?
