Chapter 68 The Fallen Tycoon's Contract Wife (19)

This is exactly what Zhou Yancheng wanted.

It was worth the effort he put into choosing these pajamas.

Actually, it would have been fine if it had only happened once, but... Jiang Tian didn't know if it was out of amazement or something else.

She did it on a whim...

He gave me a kiss.

On the spot, the giant beast in Zhou Yancheng's heart burst out of the confinement gate.

If I hadn't wanted to give her a sense of ceremony, I probably would have made it a fait accompli.

Finally, Zhou Yancheng, whose face was covered in sweat and whose forehead veins were throbbing, pulled himself back from the brink. He rushed into the bathroom as fast as he could and a cold shower relieved the heat.

When he entered, emanating a chill, the culprit was already fast asleep.

Zhou Yancheng had no choice but to wait until he was no longer cold before he hugged her.

On the appointed day, Jiang Qing and Chen Fenglie came to pick them up.

The two had a fight not long ago, and after Chen Fenglie coaxed her countless times, Jiang Qing finally gave in.

This is their daily routine; Jiang Qing is used to Chen Fenglie being subservient to her.

Fearing that Jiang Qing couldn't outmaneuver Jiang Tian and Zhou Yancheng, Chen Fenglie came along as well.

When Chen Fenglie called Jiang Tian to say he was downstairs, Zhou Yancheng was still helping Jiang Tian get dressed.

Yesterday, Jiang Tian stayed up until the early hours of the morning because one part of the drawing was not perfect. When she was woken up, she was still in a semi-conscious state.

Zhou Yancheng had already mastered the art of taking care of her without any instruction these past few days.

Seeing that the caller ID on her phone was Chen Fenglie, Zhou Yancheng glanced at it, didn't answer, and continued dressing Jiang Tian.

Chen Fenglie tried calling several times without success, then changed his approach and got Zhou Yancheng's phone number from a friend on social media, and called again.

Zhou Yancheng accepted the offer this time.

"We're all here, aren't you ready yet?"

Zhou Yancheng said coldly, "If you need anything in the future, just contact me. You don't need to call my wife anymore."

He hung up after saying that.

Chen Fenglie's face was gloomy.

After the two of them finished washing up and eating, they went out hand in hand.

"You didn't have to wait too long, did you?" Jiang Tian asked politely.

Jiang Qing didn't want to say anything anymore.

She's seen as a socialite by others, but she also has a bit of a princess complex.

They didn't come out for a full hour. Is that considered not too long?

Chen Fenglie drove off immediately after the two got in the car, not wanting to waste any more words.

He has just as big a temper.

Jiang Tian and Zhou Yancheng felt no remorse whatsoever.

Jiang Qing and Chen Fenglie only came early because they were afraid Jiang Tian would change her mind. In reality, Jiang Qing's friend would not arrive for another three or four hours.

Zhou Yancheng and Jiang Tian sat in the back seat. Not long after, Jiang Tian yawned.

He pulled her into his arms and whispered, "Sleep."

"Okay, call me when we get there."

Jiang Tian naturally hugged Zhou Yancheng's arm and soon fell asleep.

Their intimacy was obvious to the naked eye, and Chen Fenglie's face stiffened.

Seeing this, he could no longer lie to himself that Jiang Tian and Zhou Yancheng were acting.

In fact, he had already realized this after being proven wrong last time; it seemed that his ex-wife was serious about dating Zhou Yancheng.

Chen Fenglie's lips unconsciously tightened into a straight line. Jiang Qing noticed his unusual expression and asked, "What's wrong?"

Her voice was a bit loud, and Jiang Tian subconsciously shifted. Zhou Yancheng gently patted her back and looked at Jiang Qing: "Please keep your voice down, someone is sleeping in the car."

Jiang Qing's face darkened.

Is Jiang Tian really that delicate?

But she still endured it, for the sake of her career and her success.

Upon arriving at their destination, Zhou Yancheng saw that Jiang Tian was still asleep, so he simply carried her out.

Jiang Tian was a little embarrassed: "It's not like I don't have legs."

Zhou Yancheng replied to her, "I'm going to work on my arm strength."

Jiang Qing specially chose a very high-end teahouse, striving to give her old friend the best experience.

Jiang Tian took out the jade pendant, gave it to Jiang Qing, and said with a smile, "I hope it can help you."

Jiang Qing couldn't help but smile as she finally obtained what she once had so easily, after going through countless hardships.

"Don't worry, it definitely will."

Thinking of the company and the project, Jiang Qing was determined to succeed.

Not long after, Jiang Qing's foreign friend arrived.

Although he was very old, he was kind and approachable, and Jiang Qing had a very pleasant conversation with him.

They began to appreciate the jade pendant, and a constant stream of praise flowed from the old man's mouth, clearly showing his great admiration for classical culture.

While they were talking, Jiang Tian sat with Zhou Yancheng without saying a word, maintaining the proper manners of a bystander.

When Jiang Qing introduced them, she didn't even mention her sister and brother-in-law, only saying they were friends.

The old man greeted them politely, then turned his attention to the jade pendant.

Even Chen Fenglie, as her lover, didn't receive much attention.

There were only four people in the room. Jiang Qing was talking to the old man, and Jiang Tian was playing with Zhou Yancheng's hand. Zhou Yancheng looked at her with a smile, letting her hold his hand and look at it back and forth.

Only Chen Fenglie sat there alone, and no one paid any attention to him.

He could certainly join in on Jiang Qing's conversation with Old John, and he was even confident that he could win Old John's favor and thus begin a collaboration.

But he didn't move; he gave all the opportunities to Jiang Qing.

He knew perfectly well that Jiang Qing was focused on her career and couldn't spare any attention for him, but the way the two people opposite him were exchanging glances made him feel all alone.

He unconsciously began to observe Jiang Tian.

This woman, throughout the years of their marriage, never seemed to have shown such ease and happiness...

Chen Fenglie didn't know what was wrong with him; he was actually feeling somewhat unwilling.

It seems that Jiang Tian is happy after leaving him, which proves that staying by his side was not a good choice...
