Chapter 731 The Villain's Foster Mother (46)

They looked at each other, but still no one objected.

This base was founded by Han Li, and all the senior executives were promoted by him.

Their primary concern regarding Han Li was loyalty.

Since he believed that Jiang Tian was capable of taking on important responsibilities, they had no objections.

They blindly obeyed Han Li's orders!

And so, it was decided that Jiang Tian would become Han Li's deputy.

Today you're a deputy, tomorrow you might become the deputy leader.

Everyone is well aware of these things.

But Han Li is an invincible figure. What others might need to scheme and plot to achieve, he can accomplish with just a word.

In today's precarious world, strength is always the most important factor.

After the meeting, Han Li led Jiang Tian out.

After several years of development, the base seems to have returned to a state of peace and prosperity.

But the roars of zombies in the distance reminded them that peace was only a facade, and that danger lurked everywhere.

The fact that the two of them could take a walk under these circumstances is a rare kind of happiness.

"Ask me if you don't understand something in the future."

Han Li brought up the matter of bringing Jiang Tian into the management team.

He always held Jiang Tian in high regard.

She appears delicate, but is actually very resilient and exceptionally intelligent.

Everyone says she's a burden, but a smart burden is easier to accept than one who's happy to cause trouble for others.

Jiang Tian smiled and said, "Don't worry, I will definitely try my best to adapt to this position you've given me."

Han Li felt a warmth in his heart upon receiving her promise.

He admired Jiang Tian's composure and confidence.

The two of them were just strolling around the base, and Han Li actually found it quite enjoyable.

But the pleasant moment didn't last long, as Ming Qiangwei stopped them.

At this moment, Ming Qiangwei's face lost its usual flamboyance and unrestrainedness, and instead showed some disappointment.

Han Li had a similarly low opinion of Shen Yunchen and Ming Qiangwei, the two uninvited guests.

He sensed something was wrong, but didn't make a fuss. He simply asked, "What do you want?"

"Chief Han, we sincerely want to cooperate with you. If you insist on treating us with a lukewarm attitude, then we really can't stay at the Northern Base any longer."

Han Li stared at Ming Qiangwei for a long time: "So what you mean is?"

"We plan to go back tomorrow. We hope you can be lenient and not let your men ambush us on the way."

"You're leaving before you've even achieved your goal? Isn't that a bit too casual?"

Ming Qiangwei smiled bitterly: "You know perfectly well where the problem lies. Everyone has their cards up their sleeves, and nobody wants to reveal them, so it's better for us to compromise for now."

"The great battle is still some time away. Our superhumans will foresee more scenarios. I will send you a message when the time comes. I hope you will consider whether you want to promote cooperation between the two sides."

There's nothing wrong with what Ming Qiangwei said.

She was originally meant to be a messenger, and since Han Li hadn't given her a final answer yet, Ming Qiangwei, as a rare superhuman, might have to consider her personal safety if she stayed here any longer.

But her sudden departure always seemed a bit off.

Han Li's eyes deepened slightly, then he nodded: "Alright, then you should go back first. Tell your father that since a formidable enemy is at hand, both bases should exercise caution and not be provoked by others. Don't start a civil war before the external war has even begun."

Ming Qiangwei's expression remained unchanged: "I will tell my father."
