Chi Yu pressed himself against the glass wall and silently called out to Xu Nian, who was lying inside: "Wife, welcome back."

Chi Yu's pitiful appearance made Xu Nian want to laugh. She said weakly, "Then I'll give you a hug."
"Wife, I'm so glad you're alright." Chi Yu rested his head on Xu Nian's neck, trying not to make his sobs too obvious.
As Xu's mother looked at her daughter, she wiped away her tears and said, "It's good that you're alright."
Chi's mother pulled Chi Yu aside and squeezed in front of Xu Nian with a big smile, saying, "Daughter-in-law, I am Chi Yu's biological mother."
"Mom? You're so beautiful, you look just like Sister Chi Yu." Xu Nian's surprised words made Chi's mother laugh.
Mother Xu chimed in, "Niannian, how can you talk like that? No matter how pretty you are, you still have to call me 'Mom'."
"Mom," Xu Nian called out obediently.
"Oh! Daughter-in-law, I've left your gift at the manor. Go see it when you get home!" Mother Chi said mysteriously.
"Thank you, Mom." Xu Nian's pressure in getting along with her future mother-in-law instantly eased. It was just that she felt a little awkward calling such a young and beautiful face "Mom."
