Xu Nian stared wide-eyed in horror. She had been out of control all along the way, feeling like a puppet on a string, being manipulated by others.
After riding Ah Bai for half a day, Xu Nian dismounted and entered a valley.
There was a man standing in the valley. He seemed to have been waiting there for a long time. When he saw her appear, a smile instantly bloomed on his face.
"Sister, welcome back." A-Jiang smiled and opened his arms, and Xu Nian couldn't help but rush into his embrace.
Holding the person she had lost and found again, A-Jiang nuzzled Xu Nian's head contentedly, her laughter ringing out. "Sister is still the most obedient and well-behaved."
After hugging him for a while, A-Jiang pinched Xu Nian's chin and looked him up and down. Suddenly, his gaze hardened, and he kissed the place he had long wanted to taste.
Only when red marks appeared on her fair skin did A-Jiang look up, his breath coming in short gasps. He smoothed Xu Nian's hair and whispered in her ear, "Sister, you are finally A-Jiang's again."
Xu Nian glared at him, her eyes blazing with anger.
"Sister's already angry? Even A-Jiang isn't angry about being deceived by you!" The boy's aggrieved look made Xu Nian close her eyes guiltily.
A-Jiang, however, did not intend to remain silent. Instead, she began to accuse Xu Nian, saying each word clearly. "Sister is so cunning. She verbally agreed to marry A-Jiang, but secretly she instigated her own brother to lead the opposition to this marriage."
"Ah Jiang is really foolish. She knows that her sister is deceiving her, but she still falls for it." Ah Jiang's sadness was visibly palpable.
After a short while of being sad, A-Jiang laughed happily again and said, "It doesn't matter now. As long as you marry me, you will never leave me!"
What kind of marriage?
Xu Nian stared wide-eyed at the boy. A Jiang gave her a mysterious smile, then carried her through the mountains at high speed, finally arriving at a simple wooden house.
"Due to the short notice, A-Jiang's preparations are rather simple. I'm sorry to have troubled you, sister." A-Jiang took out the red candles and wedding dress.
After putting on his groom's attire, he blushed and helped Xu Nian change into the bride's dress.
The couple worships the moon and the heavens, but otherwise follows the same rituals as ordinary couples: after three bows and nine kowtows, they share a nuptial cup.
Xu Nian stiffly finished her drink, only to see A Jiang looking at her shyly.
She sat there stiffly, like a piece of wood.
A-Jiang frowned, but still decided to release his control over Xu Nian. After all, it was their wedding night, and he hoped his sister would have a wonderful experience.
Once free, Xu Nian immediately stood up and took several steps back. Pointing at him in shock and anger, she exclaimed, "Ah Jiang, did you cast a spell on me?"
“That’s right! Otherwise, you would have run away long ago.” Ah Jiang’s matter-of-fact tone made Xu Nian’s hands tremble several times.
"Ah Jiang, I'm not running away anymore. Can you take the Gu worm out?" Xu Nian really disliked the feeling of being controlled by others at any time.
“Alright!” A-Jiang grabbed Xu Nian’s index finger and gently made a cut with a knife, creating a thin wound. Xu Nian then saw a small worm crawl out of the wound.
The thought that her body was being controlled by this thing sent chills down Xu Nian's spine.
She swallowed hard and asked cautiously, "Ah Jiang, you didn't use any other curse on me, did you?"
A-Jiang smiled upon hearing this. "What do you think, sister?"
Xu Nian gave a dry laugh. "There shouldn't be any more!"
"Sister answered wrong, you still have a Gu in your body!" Ah Jiang laughed until her eyes turned into crescent moons.
That clean and pure smile sent a chill down Xu Nian's spine. "What kind of Gu is still inside me?"
"Love Gu, a kind of Gu that will make my sister never leave me again. But there's something wrong with my Love Gu, it doesn't seem to make my sister like me!" I was troubled. Why wasn't my Love Gu working?
Grandpa Village Chief said he succeeded in refining it, but why doesn't my sister like him?
Regardless, even without the love potion, my sister belongs to me, and no one can take her away.
"Sister, we should rest now." A-Jiang reached out and put her arm around the person who was still trying to run towards the door.
"Ah Jiang, don't be impulsive, let's talk this out." Xu Nian looked at the red bedding getting closer and closer, trying her best to stop Ah Jiang's actions, but her resistance was suppressed by Ah Jiang.
Xu Nian then realized that A Jiang was even more skilled than her.
"Sister, you can't escape, so you might as well save your energy," A-Jiang whispered in Xu Nian's ear.
Pressed down under the covers, Xu Nian's eyes gradually reddened. A Jiang kissed away her tears and forced her to call him husband.
At first, Xu Nian was unwilling, but later... she only had one thought in her mind: to be entangled with him until death.
"Sister, so this is the effect of the love potion!" A-Jiang hugged Xu Nian and laughed freely, but the woman just looked at him with a dazed expression.
"Sweetie, sister, you should go to sleep." A-Jiang stopped Xu Nian from continuing her reckless behavior.
When she woke up the next day, her memories returned, and Xu Nian curled up in the blankets, motionless.
Besides the physical pain, there was also the mental pain; she was so shameless yesterday.
Ah Jiang brought in the food, pulled back the covers, and saw the person pretending to be asleep. He laughed and said, "Sister, if you don't get up, Ah Jiang will continue to do bad things to you."
Xu Nian suddenly opened her eyes and glared fiercely at A Jiang. If he hadn't given her that strange love potion, she would never have acted that way.
"Sister, eat something to fill your stomach first, you can get rid of the gas later." A-Jiang's coaxing tone made Xu Nian very unhappy.
After finishing her meal, Xu Nian wanted to leave the room, mainly to get as far away from A Jiang as possible.
Because whenever she saw him, the thought of pouncing on him would pop into her head.
This idea is too dangerous; she needs to calm down.
"Sister, where are you going?" A-Jiang grabbed Xu Nian's hand, her eyes starting to look dangerous.
"I want to go home." Xu Nian didn't dare to look at A Jiang at all; she was afraid that if she did, she wouldn't be able to control herself.
"Sister, I am your home, where else do you want to go?" A-Jiang was very unhappy. He didn't think Xu Nian wanted to go home; he only thought she wanted to leave him.
"Is A-Jiang going to stop me from going back to my father's house?" Xu Nian looked up coldly, but then lowered her head again after just one glance.
Ah Jiang was stung by this glance. Why didn't his sister want to look at him anymore?
His hand climbed onto Xu Nian's shoulder, pulling her into his embrace. "Sister, I shouldn't have been so lenient with you last night, otherwise you wouldn't be angry with me here now."
Under Xu Nian's panicked gaze, A Jiang smiled. "Fortunately, it's not too late now."
Realizing what he wanted to do, Xu Nian shook her head in resistance. No, she didn't want to become like that; that wasn't her.
"Sister, you have to learn to accept A-Jiang. We're going to be together for a lifetime," A-Jiang whispered teasingly in Xu Nian's ear.
