"Yu Hao, Yu Hao, where are you?" Xu Nian pushed open the doors of the Yu family's house one by one, and found Yu's mother and father with their hands and feet tied and their mouths gagged in the master bedroom.
After apologizing, Xu Nian did not go forward to untie the two elders' ropes, but instead rushed to find Yu Hao.
"My lord, what should we do now?" the woman asked respectfully, standing in front of the man.
"Where is Yu Hao? Kill him now! As long as he lives, the master will be unhappy." The man in black said, his killing intent palpable.
"My lord, I've hidden Yu Hao in a corner behind the kitchen door. If the fire in the kitchen doesn't go out, he'll be burned to death soon," the woman said with a cold laugh.
Her entire plan was simple and went smoothly; if it had succeeded, her family would have died in an accident.
But unexpectedly, a Cheng Yaojin appeared out of nowhere and interrupted the plan.
"That won't do. The girl will find her way to the kitchen once she realizes what's happening." The man in black moved swiftly, his killing intent palpable, and darted towards the kitchen.
Xu Nian, who had been searching for Yu Hao, saw the man in black and immediately realized that he was in the kitchen.
"Stop! Don't touch him!" Xu Nian stumbled into the kitchen and saw a cold glint flash towards Yu Hao, whose hands and feet were bound.
Danger, her million points.
Xu Nian didn't have time to think and rushed over to shield Yu Hao with her body.
Upon seeing her reckless behavior, the man in black's pupils contracted, and he hurriedly withdrew the sharp blade from his hand.
"Are you out of your mind?" the man in black said coldly, feeling sorry for his master.
“Go back and tell him not to touch Yu Hao, and to come at me if he has any problems.”
"If he dares to touch Yu Hao again, he can just wait to collect his corpse!" Xu Nian's tone was equally cold.
She was truly furious. He could do whatever he wanted to her, but he couldn't touch her points.
Xu Nian's resolute appearance put the man in black in a difficult position.
Killing Yu Hao now is definitely not realistic. If Xu Nian is accidentally injured, the master will skin him and everyone else alive when he finds out.
Seeing the man in black and the woman leave, Xu Nian breathed a sigh of relief and immediately untied the ropes binding Yu Hao.
After extinguishing the fire in the kitchen, the two hurriedly went to the master bedroom to untie Yu's parents.

Upon learning that Yu Hao had been rescued by Xu Nian, Ye Lin's face darkened. "Useless! A bunch of useless people! You couldn't even handle one person properly!"
"Your Highness, it is our fault for failing in our duties. We are willing to accept punishment." The people kneeling in the hall all lowered their heads, their faces ashen.
"Considering you didn't hurt her, I'll let this matter go. Get out of here, all of you," Ye Lin said angrily, his face grim.
"Thank you for your magnanimity, Your Highness. We will take our leave now."
After everyone left the main hall, Ye Lin, still angry, smashed all the glass cups on the table.
He was driven mad with jealousy whenever he thought of Xu Nian risking her life to save Yu Hao.
Why? Is Yu Hao that important to her?
He was the person she was closest to yesterday, how could she go to see another man after just one night?
Who does Yu Hao even think he is?
She was not as good-looking as him, nor as talented as him, nor as good as him in terms of status or position. Why would she set her sights on him?
Just because he's her fiancé, she'd risk her life to save him?
Ye Lin was both envious and jealous. He wanted the same kind of preferential treatment, so why couldn't he have it?
Xu Nian rescued Yu Hao, but struggled with how to settle him down.
For his safety, she could not marry him.
If they let him stay at the Yu family home, they fear that the man might target Yu Hao again.

"You? Compensate me?" Yu Hao sneered, looking at Xu Nian with a mocking gaze. Suddenly, his eyes were fixed on the marks on her neck.
He angrily reached out to grab Xu Nian's collar, but one glance was enough to make him gasp.
Her porcelain-white skin was covered with bright red marks, densely packed together, which stung his eyes.
It's not hard to imagine what kind of intense love affairs she had with other people before.
"Xu Nian, you're really something. It's one thing to hook up with someone else, but your lover even tried to murder my whole family. I, Yu Hao, can't accept a wife like you. I'm breaking off our engagement." Yu Hao's eyes were bloodshot, filled with resentment towards Xu Nian.
He was prepared to accept that his father had arranged for him to marry a woman who had no ability.
Unexpectedly, she not only lacked ability, but also became fickle like other women.
Now he's even attracted a wicked love interest who wants to kill his whole family; he will never marry into this family under any circumstances.
"Yu Hao, I agree to your request to annul the engagement, but you can't stay at home for the time being," Xu Nian said with a wry smile.
