After a crisp "bang," came a "plop."
"Niannian, why?" Xie Baiyu grabbed Xu Nian's wrist with a pained expression.
Her hands were covered in shards of glass, yet she seemed oblivious to the pain as she repeatedly plunged the broken glass into Xie Baiyu's heart.
"His frailty is all an act, as is his gentleness. Remember not to make the same mistake next time," Xu Nian kindly advised.
"Are you...are you all sick?" Fake Xie Baiyu cursed unwillingly.
Xu Nian blinked, and just as she was about to speak, she found herself standing in the castle hall again, with Xie Baiyu still beside her.
Entering the illusion twice in a row made Xu Nian more vigilant.
Looking at Xie Baiyu, who was still struggling beside her, Xu Nian reached out and patted his cheek, saying, "Xie Baiyu, wake up."
His expression became increasingly strained, and just as Xu Nian was considering whether to pinch him, he opened his bloodshot eyes.
Before Xu Nian could say anything, Xie Baiyu grabbed her chin and kissed her fiercely.
The way he looked at her as if he wanted to devour her left Xu Nian helpless.
After the kiss, Xie Baiyu still held her tightly, unwilling to let go.

Xu Nian looked over and found that only a dozen or so people were left standing.
Xie Baiyu squeezed Xu Nian's wrist, drawing her attention back to herself.
"Niannian, you still haven't told me what you dreamed about?" Xie Baiyu was very curious as to why Xu Nian woke up before him.
“I dreamt of you, but that person was a fake, so I killed him.” Xu Nian stared into Xie Baiyu’s eyes and said each word clearly.
She wanted to see what Xie Baiyu's expression would be when he knew she would kill him without hesitation.
"Hahaha! Niannian, you did a good job. Someone dared to impersonate me and stay by your side. They deserve to die." Xie Baiyu's eyes were red with excitement.
Whether Xu Nian kills him in the illusion or not is none of Xie Baiyu's business.
On the contrary, he wished that imposter would die.
Niannian belongs to him, and no one can take him away from him, whether in dreams or in reality.
Otherwise, he would do as he did in his dream, get rid of everyone who got close to her, lock her up, and only let himself admire her.
